There are 2 bottles of ranch that have been sitting in my fridge since 2003. One of them has only been opened once, the other is still sealed. Are they still good to eat? How would I be able to tell when ranch goes bad?

I am interested in trying scallops but wasn't sure if I should.
I am allergic to pretty much all shell fish, and I was wondering if Scallops are in that family, or are they a different form of shell fish?
My fiance's dad is violently allergic to shrimp, lobster, and clams and he is able to eat scallops.
Could someone please clarify for me if I could eat scallops or should I just avoid them.

I'm new to Starbucks and don't know how to make orders like everyone else. The weather is getting hot, but I always get a hot drink. Am I supposed to specify if the drink I want should be hot or cold? What drinks can be ordered both hot or cold? Which cannot? What are the other options I can have? Like decaf or sugar or whipped cream? Can someone type the way I can make a fancy order verbatim? Like what is the proper way to make such and such an order with such and such fancy side options?
