Sometimes when I make an apple pie it seems like the apples sink down in the crust when I cook it. So when I go to cut the pie there is a space(sometimes a large space) between the apples and the crust. Why is this happening? Am I not using enough apples?

Do u wonder if they eat the left over food or throw it away. One reason I ask that is because it's always family members working in one resturant, and the pepole who eat their don't always eat the food they have on they plate, but they will go back and get another plate of food.

I tried for the first time tonight to cook the fruit of my prickly pear cactus. They were red when I collected them and I used my blowtorch to burn off the spines. I checked q and a and boiled them for 30 minutes in really salty water and then rinsed. They were full of seeds and REALLY slimy. I added some cilantro to them, seeded them, rinsed them and boiled a little while longer. Still slimy. I added a little vinegar and soaked them an hour. Then rinsed.

I mean, of course I don't have much of a choice, and companies know that they could get sued for lying about their nutrient contents... but I don't know....

35 calorie [Shnieders] hot-dogs?... Sounds almost unrealistic...could there have been a typo?

I also noticed that the 484ml bottle of Kraft Cal-wise Catalina dressing claimed it's calorie content to be 15 cals per tablespoon...while on the 250 ml bottle of *exaclty the same* dressing, it said 25 calories...

Do you think it is safe to always trust what the labels say?

For reference, here are some of the easy foods that I already like to make:

tuna sandwiches
eggs
baked potatos
canned soups

I don't mind cooking as long as it's as easy as throwing a potato into the oven and turning it on, but when I need to do any more than that it just sits in the freezer for months until I throw it away.

Please share your super-fast easy and healthy meals for the rest of us lazy bastards :)

I mean, i love my owns smell, but others are just repulsive, why? I could only see the difference being that we ate maybe different foods or something of the sort, like maybe ate 13 bean burritos from Taco Bell. But i doubt it would make such a huge impact on the way it smelled. I think mine smell like dirty fingernails with expired lowfat sour cream, and a hint of lime. It sounds bad, yes, but to me, they just arent as repulsive as my buddy Leeroys. When Leeroy farts its like...a rotten avocado and onion dip, with a tiny bit of parsley..and BAM! Its just bad, this question has been just bottled up in my head and i really cant figure it out.

I have recently acquired some fairly pricey bottles of red and white wine. I realize now that I have no suitable place to store them. Our home averages about 80 degrees during the long hot summers. Can I store these lovely vintages in a refrigerator that is stored in the garage? The refrigerator works well, we just don't use this fridge currently. Can I manipulate the temps somehow? Trying to avoid buying an expensive wine cellar just yet. Thanks for any help.

fish and seafood. I do not eat any type of warm blooded animal meat and I will eat organic cheese once in a great while if I can't get the veggie cheese I buy. I only buy organic 1% milk to cook with because Soy milk does not heat well in certain recipes.Plus it is very seldom that I use milk. Now what I want to know is, What am I considered to be with my diet?? I have not eaten meat for 9 years but my Mothers side of the family w/ the exception of my Mom were strict vegetarians that did not even touch dairy, fish or any animal bi-products.

I always end up eating the equivelant of 2 whole candy bars when I eat the minis. Do you think this is the candy bar companies intent? Is it a conspiracy? LOL

Ok, so is the bubble tea fad going to disappear overnight? Some people think it is the greatest and some people haven't ever heard of it.
