Yes, string them by running them through with a needle and thread until you have as many as you want on a string, then hang them in the shade where there is plenty of air. They'll ripen a bit then dry out. When they're dry, be sure to store them in air-tight containers or to put them where the humidity is very low.

I love habanero peppers. I first encountered them in the Yucatan. Wish I were there.

Yes you can. I have six habanero bushes myself, as well as pequins, tabasco, cayenne, black knight, serrano, jalapeno, poblano, anaheim, and thai dragon, and I air dry all of them
I like to take some and grind them in a coffee bean grinder when theyre dry to make hot pepper powder to put on my food. Yummy...
