You have just run 10 miles or had a really hot sauna and you are so thirsty you are seeing ice cubes....

What drink would you have to satisfy your thirst?

The best I have come up with is Dr Peppers poured over crushed ice, a sprinkle of salt and a dash of Ribena to make it isotonic, But I am getting bored of it.

I will try some of the better ones.

Why does doctors suggest 7-up to sip for an upset stomach? What in it makes it work? It has always worked for me but I was just wondering about this. It can't be because it's a clear liquid because they say water makes it worse. (water works for me but 7-up is what is usually suggested not water and not even sprite.

Next week I'm hosting a small babyshower. I'll have nine plus myself. It starts at 1pm so I'll be serving luch. Does anyone have any ideas on what I could serve? Please include the recipies if you do. I'm looking for something simple and tasty. Also appropriate for warm weather. Thanks.

I just don't get it. Why do people feel the need to post insulting comments for vegetarian/vegan questions? Why can't they just let vegans talk to other vegans without butting their heads in where they are not welcome? If you have something to say that's relevant that's one thing, but just to make snide comments...?

I don't know why I don't use them much, because I usually find that I like them. Maybe I just need to try someone elses favorite lima bean recipe. I'd rather make a tried and true favorite recipe that someone is willing to share instead of getting one from a cookbook

I have half a bottle of wine in my fridge that I opened a week ago. I have a stopper in but haven't touched it since. Is it still good to drink? How long can I keep an open bottle before I should pour it down the drain?

A friend tried to convince me that after milk is pasteurized it becomes condensed and is then blended with water to create what we know as milk. He also said that whole milk is about 3.25% condensed milk blended with water and 2% is 2% condensed milk blended with water, and so on. It sounds reasonable but is it true.
