I had it last night at a great little tapas restaurant and it had a wild mushroom sauce and puff pastry. It was divine.
How on earth can it be so good?

Actually, I also love the consistency of the snail.... it's all chewy with a "grit" surprise here and there.

I don't know, but I agree with you, Escargots are just too delicious to pass up on :-)

No its not devine at all... Im sorry its just digusting. Snails should be left in the garden and never brought to the dinner plate. Just because something isnt poison does that mean we should eat it. We yell at our kids for putting things in their mouth like that and thne people like you go and eat it on purpose..... chewy... bits of grit here and there.... that grit is what the gardener calls dirt... real good job of cleaning those snails... YUCK VOMIT

The added fat lol like the butter, puff pastry, etc. But that does sound good. I love escargot.
