Quick history: I was in an abusive relationship 2 yrs ago(physically and emotionally) My family went thru a lot of therapy to help me out. Fast Forward today: The other day my mom came home and my boyfriend and I were arguing. She ended up coming into my room to see if I was ok because things sounded heated and he was slamming his hand on my desk and she was worried about me. She was really angry at him and called him an a**hole. She said that he was being mean, demeaning,intimidating and bullying me. I said I was used to it, thats just the way he talks and I also said some not too nice things to him. Now he doesn't want to come over and said my mom should not have "disrespected" him that way. My mother told him she was sorry for calling him a bad name, but he still hasn't come back over. Do you think my mom over reacted? She said she was freaked because of my past abusive relationship and wasn't going to let anyone do that again.

I broke up with my abusive ex a year ago yet it still hurts. I have completely cut him off but I am still angry at the way he treated me and sometimes, I feel proud to have walked away with my head high. But sometimes, I feel like a loser cause he abused me and I think that maybe he's become a good person for another girl. How do I just let go of my anger?

The reason I ask is that after a break up with my significant other that person started telling how much they loved their ex and wanted to get back with them. It hurt my feelings obviously. When guys stared at me I would smile back at them and they would think I was flirting with them. We agreed together as we have some unresolved issues but when we met for last time it was more like a date,holding each other's hands and staying for 2 hours together.We both said we couldn't believe this is the end and although we've been dating for a month we stuck 2 much.We tried to break up last week also but when we met we couldn't.This time i know it's final and at the end he hold me in his arms and we kissed.I left without looking back but i was trying to control my tears in the street.I told him to keep it friendly but he said he can't see me this way.Wedidn't want to break up but it was necessary bc of some certain problems we can't solve.I want to call him or send him a sms after sometime but how he will react?Thereis no future between us but he was the best for me.How i will get it over,i can't sleep or eat and i can't realise that i'll never see him again.
