Most guys would take the first girl... if she ever managed to come out and let them know she liked them. That is the problem with being shy. You give out signals that you are not interested, so no one ever asks you out. A lot of guys are desperate, so they are going to take whoever shows some interest. But if you're pretty enough, it won't matter much.

How outgoing someone is has absolutely no bearing on how attractive I think someone is. I would take a pretty, smart, thin, well educated shy girl over an ugly outgoing girl 10 times out of 10. And you don't give your man a reason to be jealous of you going out or possibly hooking up with other guys because you don't go out. I can't speak for guys in general, but popularity doesn't matter to me personally.

I would choose the first one. Mostly based on the education and intelligence - but pretty is a big plus. The shyness can be overcome. I am very outgoing and could use the balance.
I actually married a woman who fits the description of the first girl. We have been married for 10 years and have a great relationship - and for the record neither one of us could be described as thin any more! lol
Oh yeah and she now has alot of friends - most of which I brought to the relationship but she is not nearly as shy as when we met.

In this case I would have to go with the SHY girl...She is pretty, smart, and since she is shy she is probably a "good" girl, which in turn means she is good wifey material...now the OUTGOING ugly girl is probably a "FREEK" and that is why she has tons of friends...
