I am in eighth grade, and I like this guy that's in only one of my classes. His seat was moved adjacent to me, so we can easily converse. I want to flatter the guy, without making it obvious that I'm flirting. My idea is to catch the guy's attention by calling to one of my friends that sits behind him and flash them a great smile. I realize that we as people tend to make fun of each other's physical traits far too often, but not many are discriminated as much as short men.

Tell me this...why is it when someone calls someone else "fat" for being a little overweight, it's "mean"? But... when someone is made fun of for being short, to everyone else, it's funny? These double-standards absolutely suck, and I just don't see why people have to be so mean. Height is something we really can't control. You can control your weight. You can control your personality, etc...your height is stuck with you. Short men are seen as weak, and fragile, and incapable of making tough decisions. Why do people judge books by their covers?

Not to mention that being a short guy, your options to find a girlfriend/wife are extremely limited. I mean, I can't tell you the number of times I have heard from a girl that they have a "minimum requirement" when it comes to height for guys. Some women can be so nit-picky when it comes to height

I am 17. my girlfriend is 15, 16 in 4 months. I live about 45 minutes away from her. I have no car, so i have to pay gas money to get there and back. I can usually only see her on weekends, because of work and the long trip. her dad hates me, and he has never even met me. he keeps trying to force another guy on her, because he likes that guys mom. since her dad has said i cant date her, i can only even see her at church on saturday and sunday. I love her, and she feels the same. this is just very hard to deal with, physically and mentally. and socially. should i continue to give up all of my free time to see her just a little bit, even though im not sure if there will ever be a light at the end of the tunnel. if her dad absolutely wont let her see me until she is 18, i will hopefully be in college by then, because i will be 19 or 20. older, more mature people have told me i just have to hang in there. the typical high school through 23 year old guy says forget it. sorry i was so long.

I have been together with my boyfriend for a year and a half. He has been asking me for sex, but I told him I wasn't ready. So he told me that he would wait until I am ready but at the same time he hopes it'd come asap. Lately, he is pushing me to get ready and said he has been too nice to me not to push and I abuse his niceness. He said every couple out there is having sex in a daily basis and he just wants to be in a normal relationship. He told me he's running out of patience. Let's make a long story short. I met this guy and at first I wasn't feeling him... but then later he got to me somehow with his words. I fell in love with him. He told me he loved me and then I found out he had a girlfriend so I backed off, but he broke up with her, but we never went out. He made me so happy, until just 2 days ago. We had this huge drama and he wants his ex back so later he txted me saying that "what i told you about loving you was a lie". That hurted alot. Then later he called me and was telling me he's sorry, he never meant to hurt me, if he could go back in time he would take those words back. And he wants me to help him get back with his ex. I told him I can't it'll only kill me more inside. So just today, we talked again and became friends... so now that he's talking to me.. why do I still feel like something missing? Why do I still feel empty...? How Do I move on??
