and why don't they do anything about it??? they just stare and not talk?? why?? i don't do anything to draw attention to myself it really freaks me out. I don't even think i am terribly pretty. Why do they do this?

Well it's prob because they find u attractive, I get this alot too and sometimes I wonder if I got something on my face er something. Sometimes makes me self consious hahaha. They dont do anything because maybe you intimadate them.

if you are pretty and you don't know your pretty and men think you are gorgeous it makes you ever more pretty lol,i know that doesn't make any since,but i have sons all the girls i say aww isn't she cute they say yeah shes OK and the ones they think are so pretty i don't see it so we girls don't know what men like !! my son says all the time he likes the girls who are really pretty and that talk to everybody because if they are pretty and are stuck up then they don't look so pretty any longer,so it much be that you are pretty and men find you attractive ,best thing to do is just give a small smile or nod and go on with what you are doing.good luck

They probably think that you're beautiful. Just tell them it's not polite to stare, or tell them to take a picture. Or you could be like "Just ask me out already if I'm that pretty!"

Because maybe they think that you ARE pretty! People always get this mental picture of themselves when they really in actuality might be very attractive to the opposite sex.

Well let me tell you we may look with intentions of saying my god she's fiya!!!! I need to holla at her, but alas we get shy, or intimidated alota guys honestly shoot way below where we should as far as looks go cause we believe that that girl has to have a man.

just be glad their not chasing u in the store and running up to u to ask u to marry them in front of u'r mother-n-law! it would freak u out even more if they did do something, like approach u. this one guy came up to me in the farmers market and started talking to me, i just looked around and said "cut, who is this guy" like i was in a movie. haha,it was sooo funny.
u must be stunningly beautiful and not know it.

You know? If they do that....stare at you that means that you are beautiful or attractive but if they don't talk to you, they are just shy to do that(as most guys do).

Males are VISUAL creatures. We look at things and obtain data thru looking. We are wired to look, sometimes stare, at everything. Culture teaches us that staring is rude, in our country. That is why you feel awkard.
FEMALES are PHYSICAL creatures. They get their data thru touch and feel.
