There are these two guys that always tell me hot I am. Then, my best guy friend tells me I'm pretty a lot. I don't ask them about how I look or anything, so I'm just wondering why they tell me that. Thanks!

generally if a guy always says how hot or sexy you are he just wants to get in your pants, on a rare occasion it is just a compliment but usually not. on the other hand tho, if i a guy tells you you are pretty or beautiful it is usually meant to be more of a compliment, but you also have to watch out for the sly guys that abuse it and just wanna get in your pants. it sounds to me like all off these guys like you and what they say to you can help you understand their motives.

The guys that are shallow, and have little regard for woman, will say anything just to become intimate with a woman. A truly decent guy, with depth, and respect for woman, as well as himself does not need to say anything, just for the sake of having sex. Your friend sounds much more of a gentleman, describing you as pretty. I know the word "hot" is supposed to be flattering, and is "the" phrase of today. Personally, I think a compliment using the word pretty, is so much more classy, and respectful.
