I am in eighth grade, and I like this guy that's in only one of my classes. His seat was moved adjacent to me, so we can easily converse. I want to flatter the guy, without making it obvious that I'm flirting. My idea is to catch the guy's attention by calling to one of my friends that sits behind him and flash them a great smile. Then, I will make a really cute face. Will this catch his eye? Is this a good idea??

It's one way...I can come up with another one-What if you have enough confidence to talk to him..borrow paper..or..pencil-then- flash him(not your friend) your great smile. ...This way, you 've gained ground toward getting this guys attention.

He might think your childish. Just say hi in class and go back to your studies. Eventually that will warm into a conversation. Guys only want a signal that it is okay to talk to you.

umm yeah i guess, just practice the face hehe. But that may come across as slightly immature/annoying. Just talk to him BE YOURSELF. MAKE EYE CONTACT WHILE SMILING (at him!) this does the trick every time :D
