Singles & Dating - 20 March 2007

I am starting to get serious with this girl and the one thing I keep coming back to is her sense of style. She is a nice girl and attractive, however it is sometimes an embarrassment to be seen with her. She dresses very "over the top" with extremely tight jeans. She isn't overweight, but I still don't think these things look appropriate for most occasions. Also, she loves to wear things with fake fur. Her coat has this fake fur thing around the hood. Her winter boots, which I HATE, have fur on them. Spring is near and I'm afraid she will start wearing capris! I am 26 and would prefer to be with someone who dresses more adult, more professional and feminine. How do I make her show some class? I can live with her HUGE sunglasses and her gross thongs, which I think look trashy...but I can't go out with her to nice places if she is going to dress like a bum. I like her a lot and don't want to change or control her, but this really bothers me.

I want to make dinner for my gf tomorrow night and i dono what to make....shes the type to always say i dont care...i know some foods she likes but she likes everything....shes not picky....i just need an idea of what to make so i can get food to make tomorrow...im a good cook, i have been working in kitchens for 3 years now so dont worry about the difficulty of what it is......i just want some good ideas on what a girl would want... i know it is an opinionated question becuase it depends on what she wants but i really am just looking for some good specific ideas....thanks girls....

i snitch on my coworkers. my boss makes me tell on my coworkers and then they are mad at me. I don't want to not say anything then the mgr will think i am protecting them. what should i do? everyone hates me and i don't like to be in this situation. i love this job but i hate my boss using me to find out stuff. i don't know what to do . help with any suggestions. thanks :)

Fathers Gift

A young man was getting ready to graduate from college. For many months he had admired a beautiful sports car in a dealer's showroom, and knowing his father could well afford it, he told him that was all he wanted.


As Graduation Day approached, the young man awaited signs that his father had purchased the car.


Finally, on the morning of his graduation, his father called him into his private study.



His father! told him how proud he was to have such a fine son, and told him how much he loved him. He handed his son a beautiful wrapped gift box. Curious, but somewhat Disappointed, the young man opened the box and found a lovely, leather-bound Bhagavad Gita, with the young man's name embossed in gold.


Angrily, he raised his voice to his father and said, " With all your money you give me a Bhagavad Gita? And stormed out of the house, leaving the Bhagavad Gita.


Many years passed and the young man was very successful in business. He had a beautiful home and wonderful family, but realized his father was very old, and thought perhaps he should go to him. He had not seen him since that graduation day.


Before he could make arrangements, he received a telegram telling him his father had passed away, and willed all of his possessions to his son. He needed to come home immediately and take care of things.


When he arrived at his father's house, sudden sadness and regret filled his heart. He began to search through his father's important papers and saw the still new Bhagavad Gita, just as he had left it years ago. With tears, he opened the Bhagavad Gita and began to turn the pages.


His father had carefully underlined a verse, "Lord Krishna would give whatever his devotee asks for, do that son whenever someone comes to you for help" As he read those words, a car key dropped from the back of the Bhagavad Gita. It had a tag with the dealer's name, the same dealer who had the sports car he had desired. On the tag was the date of his graduation, and the words... PAID IN FULL.

I broke up with my x girlfriend well over a year ago, She was the only girl i ever loved and we lost are v to each other. We was toghether about 2 years and spent every minute of each day together.

But even though it was a long time ago i still feel like it was only yesterday and it hurts just as much. I still feel like a want to die cause i cant live without her. I feel like there is noone else in the world like her and even though ive seen a few girls since it feels nothing like it did with her :(

i don't know how to get over my first love, he moved to missouri and i'm still not sure if we ended it b/c he moved or because he didn't like me anymore, i don't know how to get over him. i tried having another boyfriend but that was a disaster b/c he was actually the total opposite of my ex and he was just a rebound, but i want to date again but i don't know who and if they should be like my ex or should i experiment? i was in love.

The female who is jealous of me said "I've got Brodie wrapped around my finger!"
I've got a crush on Brodie.
So I said "Hey Brodie! Did you hear what she said about you?"
Brodie said "What did she say?"
I said "She says she's got you wrapped around her finger!"
He said "No she doesn't! But you've got me wrapped around your TONGUE!"
I was floored!
So is it cleared up once and for all? Is he in love with me based on that comment?

He also teased me that if I wanted to be his girl I had to be ready to fight a chick for him. That was just a joke. But he did say "if I wanted to be his girl"...

And I don't think wrapped around my tounge meant oral sex. I think it meant French kiss!

A guy friend of mine with whom I've hooked up before and been interested in begged me to come visit him in another city. He gave all the signs that it was about more than just friends. When I got there he didn't pay any special attention to me and seemed to not care that I had come all that way just to see him. What's with the total reversal of treatment? Why the mixed messages? Why beg me to come visit when he's not going to pay much attention to me once I'm there?

He called around noon and left a message on my cell saying he'll look into finding a restaurant for the 2nd date and we'll meet for dinner at 7pm. I called around 1pm to say I'll be at work from 1-5pm and said I'll call him later or he could call me to let me know the location. At 6pm, I callled him to ask for the location. He returns my call at 6:30pm to say he's already at downtown and ask if he could pick me up. I said no, I'll just drive myself there since it's only half an hour away. (I don't know the guy that well. If the date goes sour, I could always leave.) I try to give him the benefit of a doubt, but on my drive to the restaurant I found his behavior to be very much inconsiderate. 30 minutes notice is just not thoughtful. The whole thing set the tone for the rest of the night. Also, he asked about what dba's in MD make? He basically wanted to know my salary. What kind of guy would ask that on a 2nd date? I told him he can google it. Anyway, that is it for him.

Here is the situation. I posted an ad on Craig's List for a casual encounter. I plan to practice safe sex, of course. A girl of 19 came on my messenger and began flirting with me. She sent me a tastefully clothed photo and she was quite beautiful. Yes, I am 45, but why not? It's not a relationship I am looking for. Then a couple of guys at work I told about it said to be careful, that the cops could be waiting for me when I go to meet up with her. Why? I asked. She's 19. If the cops are out to nab someone, why would they use the front of being 19? Of course I am not doing anything illegal, but these two co-workers are all freaked out about it. I just don't get it. Does someone know if there has ever been a case of someone going to meet a girl who was of age getting stung? Ther police would have to lie and say I was going to meet someone younger and i don't see why they would want to do that... if they want to catch REAL predators.

she just leaves the room without a word, even if I'm in the middle of a sentence. Also, when the TV is on, she never hears a word I say. It's very obnoxious, and I tell her all the time, but it never changes. Will it ever change, or should I find someone who actually cares what I have to say?
