ok heres to answer some of ur questions i guess. yes im a nice person. yes im clean and i have a good personality (atleast i think i do) and i do not only play the guitar to get chicks.. it is a hobby. and i have been trying to start a band but everyone bailed out. so thank you

i treat people with respect i dont think that if im just downright trashy to people that they will forgive me for playing guitar i've been told i look good i know that dont assume im a bad person

The girl won't make out with your guitar, or have kids with your guitar. She has to like YOU first and foremost. Don't use your guitar as a crutch for ladies. They have to appreciate YOU first, and then your talents.
And, if you've been playing for 4 years, you may still suck (not to be rude, just an idea). And the guitar thing just makes it worse. Try to picture what the ladies actually say about you when you're not around.

The fact that you can play guitar will not attract girls. Are you clean (Dear Abby always said: Keep yourself kissing clean from head to toe, because you never know!!!! )? Do you present an interesting personality to them? Are you a genuinely nice person who treats women with respect and doesn't abuse people verbally or physically? That is far more important than playing guitar.

Just because you play the guitar doesn't mean "girls" are going to flock to you. You have to have the looks and personality. You have to treat people with respect and be genuine. Playing the guitar would just be an added bonus.

if you're playing a guitar simply to meet girls, then someone has given you (or you've read too many comic books) the wrong info...you need a personality, willingness to actually ask a girl out and try to make an effort at being likeable...
playing a guitar doesn't automatically make you a magnet for girls...(unless of course you hand out free picks during all your 'gigs'...)

a guitar isn't going to help you in any means get a girlfriend-your personality and charm are what will-just because you walk around holding a guitar doesn't make you extremely special to me-you would just seem ordinary in my eyes-but than again my dad and my two brothers are constantly playing guitars-so i might just be used to it and brought up with it-but i am also sure that most girls would agree with me unless you were ultimately famous!! it may give you a couple points but how about trying to use your personality and charm to get the lady's!!

In all of my years of playing guitar I received just one kiss from a woman. Mind you, she was a gorgous Irish woman but it was over with in the blink of an eye. If you want the gals, join a band that plays original love songs. That doesn't exlude rock.

Don't worry so much about the girls, the right one will come along sooner than you think, guitar or not. Do continue to play because it will give you much pleasure when you're an old man like me.

yes, but your physical appearance also matters. it may sound shallow, but it's the first thing a person sees. i strongly feel anyone can look good, you just need to find the right look that isn't fake. after that, your personality should shine through past your looks. song-wise if your playing like classical songs, of course their not going to be interested. try playing things that are original so it shows part of your personality.
