how do i get over my first love?

i don't know how to get over my first love, he moved to missouri and i'm still not sure if we ended it b/c he moved or because he didn't like me anymore, i don't know how to get over him. i tried having another boyfriend but that was a disaster b/c he was actually the total opposite of my ex and he was just a rebound, but i want to date again but i don't know who and if they should be like my ex or should i experiment? i was in love.

I don't think you should experiment.You know the type that is right for you.

Experiment...There was some quality in your ex you loved...Maybe that's the best partner for you...
