How long should you date someone before you marry them? Guys, how long would you wait to ask a girl to marry you? Would the amount of time you went out with her matter even if you knew you were really in love with her? Women, if he proposed to you, would you say no because it was too early? Does anyone believe in love at first sight?

ok first off im 20 fixin to be 21 she is atleast 18 for the past week or so this girl i work with who has a bf who also works at the same place but he works at nights me and her works days
anyways she started working there bout a month ago i started talkin to her alittle when i see bout a week or so ago now everytime she sees me she smiles not the usual type of smile and she works in the cafe area at my job yester day i was gettin some food as soon as she saw me she smiled and when she turned away to get my food and then turned back she smiled again and actually asked me how im doin which is completely unusaul

i know it may sound like she is just bein nice but too me she seems kinda shy so i was wondering could she be shy but tryin to flirt alittle

I have had this crazy wild Vegas affair every year for like 4 years with this same guy. We work at a convention every april and we go to see shows, dinners, everything. Its crazy and its a secret. (I work the convention with my family and he works for the extended family)
THIS year, my boyfriend that I now live with, has been invited to work the convention with me.
Soooo that means that my wild affair guy will be there too. I already told affair guy that I have a boyfriend and nothing can happen and he accepts that.
But should I tell my boyfriend that he will be working side-by-side with this man? Wait til the convention is over?

Im worried that if I tell him before hand he wont be nice to this guy, will be mean to me all week, etc.

When do I tell my boyfriend about this past love? Do i ever?

K, To keep this short and sweet.

So I've dated this guy on and off for 3 years. We never got along that great all the time. We fight about sushi, he pulls over to the side of the road. Tells me he isn't going to take me back to my car. we fight somemore. I call a friend and he leaves me on the side of 95 at 11:00pm in 10 degree weather. He says I made him do it? see i have been dating this guy for 4 years and 4 months now and well 2 years ago he cheated on me and well about a year ago he did it again with the same girl and she got pregnant and now the baby is 2 months old and she says its his but he says it isn't. Since then i haven't been able to trust him and he wants me to. I'm beginning to think that the relatoinship is just not going to work. He wants to make it work but i'm not sure i do. After getting hurt like i did i'm just to scared to trust him and to try to make it work. Lately we have been getting along really well and he spends all his time with me. But i have built this brick wall up and when he starts to get close i keep on pushing him away. Do u think the relationship is over or do u think we can work this out?

He broke up with me among other reasons because of the distance; I'm in New York; he's in Tokyo. We started dating in Tokyo, then I had to move to NY last Sep and we dated long dist. The break up was not mutual, but it was open ended, in that he did not completely rule out the possibility of getting back together once I moved back to Tokyo. I'm moving back to Tokyo to start work there in May; he doesn't know that yet. He wanted to be friends and as friends, he would email me at the same rate, he said, and I can call him on the phone, we can meet in Tokyo "as friends". But since the break up a few weeks ago he is responding quicker to my emails, initiating conversations, and he writes me: "[my name], hello. [my name], fundamentally there is no problem. [my name], by the way now are you coming to Japan in April?" I am wondering why he wants to know whether I'm coming back to Japan and why is he talking to me more than when we were dating? When I asked him, he said there is no one new.

if you are a strong couple and respect and trust each other you can get through a long distance relationship. we have just celebrated 22 years of marriage. we met at 16/17 and married when 23/25. during our first year we saw each other 2 - 3 times a week then for the next 4 years we saw each other once every 2 - 3 months. i then moved in with him and he worked away off and on for the next 4 years. since then it has only being occassional.

we both went out with other people but always told each other and the other people involved. it always pays to be honest. now at 45 i think we did the right thing. we allowed each other to grow and then grew together.

well there's this guy jeff at my school, were both sophomores, and during the summer, we liked each other and talked over myspace, but then i had to cancel my account because of my stupid ex and then we didnt talk for the whole first semester because i thought he was jsut ignoring me, but he didnt recognize me - and now were at the second semester and i saw him and i said hi, and it took him a while to remember me, but when he did, his eyes got all big and bright and he was smiling and when he hugged me, he hugged me for like five minutes. and then, we saw each other again, and he picked me up off the ground and hugged me the same way he did before, and he was like, "you look great" and i said that i missed him, and he was like, "i missed you too" and i was standing with my friend, i would see him look over at me sometimes. i really like him, i always have, and i sent him a message recently, telling him i liked him but he hasnt replied yet. he doesnt do email as often as some.

What can i do to fix this f'd up friendship?
I had found a guy that I really liked, and I kinda things up trying to come on too strong, because I was really excited about him. Going to a thing in a month I work every year. Like an art convention. The last 3 years I have had a fling with another person who works there with me. I spoke to guy "A" and he understands Im in a relationship this year etc. We had a really really deep connection and pretty much fell in deep love/infatuation.

Well, this year my now bf (who I live with) is working it with me. Guy "A" will be there too.

Say for instance you broke up with someone because the timing was not right and your heart was not into it..or you did something to screw the relationship up in the first place..or just say you wished to be friends..however you felt more for that person then just mere friendship..do you ever regret giving that person up in the first place?
