OR, DON'T BE MAD CAUSE NOW I HAVE OPTIONS! (you're free from a loser, and you know you can do better so what does it matter. Don't even give in to comments like that, later he'll be mad cause you are happy with someone else, and he couldn't get a last stab at hurting your feelings.
You might just end it with, AT LEAST i DON'T HAVE TO PUT UP WITH YOU ANYMORE. That ends any mean comments, don't even give him the time of day.
The best revenge is happiness, he will see how happy you are. make it a point to always tell people (especially the ones you both know) how happy you are, the fun things you are doing and don't even mention the past relationship not even if someone else brings it up. Act like it never happened. don't even mention its because you are not dating anymore. just be happy, enjoy life, and make sure everyone knows how happy you are.
He will wonder why you don't even complain about it anymore. Out of Sight, Out of Mind.
I did that and he begged me to be with him for three years after we stopped dating. It still bothers him that he has no effect on my, not even a frown.
If you do end it for sure, never go back as much as he begs, even if you thing he'll change. he may have changed for someone else, but not for you.
Always remember, it's better to have him begging than for you to be giving into his wants and needs.
let him know that you are better off being single for now. He will wonder why you have it better, with a smile on your face, and who you will dating later (cause it won't be him)
if you do date him again, HE WAS RIGHT! don't do it.

Id look at him cuttingly and inform him that no I actually couldnt - even if I tried really hard. but theres only one way from the lowest of the low and thats upwards and better - then dump his sorry ****! Why are you even staying with a guy that talks to you like that!?

perhaps you could ask him to explain that comment.Why would somebody who calls themselves your boyfriend say something like that?Maybe your boyfriend feels insecure and has been on the receiving end of a comment like that and this has resulted in his insecurities,maybe you need to sit down together and find out why he said it..........good luck
