Singles & Dating - 25 February 2007

We broke up like 3 weeks ago after dating 1 year and 1/2. And my birthday just passed last monday, and she called me on it "just to say happy b-day, even though she has no reason to talk to me" which is what she said. today, sunday, she IMed me and asked how my b-day went, and i played it like it was great and im enjoying my life and having a great time without her(i didnt say without her). and she started getting all sarcastic and nasty like "great" and "cool" and short stuff like that. and i asked if she was enjoying her life and she said yes i am, actually after she wrote her friend a myspace comment saying "i hate my life more and more each second." and i was like you miss me dont you and she just said "haha.no." like i kinda dont really care, and im pretty much moved on, but i wanna know if shes jealous and if she really misses me, because it would make me feel better about her knowing she did actually care. please no "get over her"s i want your opinions on how she feels.

So my best friend and i have been friends for about 2-3 years now and we've just discovered that we're falling for each other. Turns out he's had a secret thing for me since i've met him. Turns out we both have so much on our plate right now - a relationship is not on our priority list -we both want to finish and get our degree, there's financial issues - it's just not a good time. He finally talked to me and said that he never ever wants to hurt me...and that right now is not a good time for both of us. He said that if we were to ever go out, it would be a real relationship "worth it, lasting, long and serious" - rather than right now or a "2 second thing". We're still going to remain friends, for sure. I feel like he thinks he's the bad guy because he had to initiate it and the only way he's going to keep me "forever" is that we still remain best friends now until the time is right. It's hard for me to believe because guys in the past gave me alot of BS - Is he being sincere?

We dated for sixteen months, and have been broken up for five months. I ended it for several reasons, which I have told him, and I have no regrets about that. However, he writes me these sad emails, contacts my friends, and talks to others about me. I feel sorry for him, but I'm tired of the drama and have no wish to participate.

He needs to go on with his life, and I've told him that, but he seems to still nurse the hurt. Here's my question: should I just not respond to his emails? Or should I write and tell him that I don't want him contacting me anymore?

I was married when I was 18. I was only with him a year and got divorced. I am now 26 and haven't seen him in over 4 years. I am currently engaged and soon to be married. I am aware that my ex husband is now back in the city I live in and people I know are running into him everywhere so I know its only a matter of time before I run into him. So when I do if I'm with my fiancee whats the appropirate thing to do? My fiance knows all about him and the fact it may happen. But I don't want to have to make this an uncomfortable situation. Would it be okay to say hello and introduce and then be like Sorry gotta go?

i cheated on my bf of 5 months(though now we've been together for 1and 1/2 yrs) when he was on vacation and i was on vacation. everyday i constantly remind myself that i cheated on him and haven't forgiven myself. i regret doing it and am madly in love with my boyfriend. i didn't tell him that i cheated on him and don't know if i should. i don't think i can ever forgive myself until he knows what i have done (and even then i wont be able to forgive myself) but i'm afraid this will ruin our relationship. what should i do? do i keep it to myself and promise never to cheat on him again or do i tell him and risk our relationship?

I've asked several questions in the past if "good guys" (of which I am one) get girls. I'm a 19 year old college student, never had a gf and get spurned by all the girls. All the answers I've gotten here from girls basically say that one day, those girls will come flocking to me when they realized that the bad boys abused them.

I find this incredibly insulting. It's saying that when those girls get thrown out by their "bad boy" boyfriend, they will come to us because they think we're available and desperate. In other words, we're their second choice since they couldn't stay with the bad boys they wanted. You know what? I WOULD RATHER NEVER GET MARRIED AND DIE A VIRGIN THAN LOWER MYSELF TO THAT LEVEL!!!!! This is the way the dating game in life works? I don't need this. I don't need to settle for second best. I'm going to focus on my friends and my education/career and live a happy life from that (like several of my family members ultimately did).

I'd like some guys to answer this question so that girls & women see how we handle "matters of the heart" when it comes to a situation like this. I think we do it a lot simpler (without any drama) than the females do, but my opinion alone doesn't count. It's my belief that we guys can still be friends regardless of who ends up with the girl. me and my ex went out years ago, i really liked him and he really liked me, the relationship grew apart because my parents were strict & he didn't want to get me in trouble. he told me he loved me & i didn't say it back.unfortunately he started getting real jealous & it died out. we live right next to each other, he told me he's been in love with me ever since he was 6 and we grew up together, now that my relationship ended with this other guy i was dating (4 years), i see his mom almost everywhere, and i see him only in moments where my life gets a bit tragic, emotionally, when something goes wrong he's there to make me smile, otherwise i barely see him. he use to be a ghetto guy, he got his act together & doing things right now. i get along with his mom extremely well i can feel she would love us to be together again & so would my parents. the other night i saw him and he told me he still loves me & i said it back. we haven't seen each other since though. what do you think?

Ok so my sister took me camping and slipped me viagra so I would hook up with the guy staying with me in my tent.

Some people on here say I'm gay, but with a few drink in me, viagra pumping through my body and someone kissing on my neck how could I resist.

Yes I did things I wouldn't normally do but who wouldn't have.

my boyfriend an i have been going out since like the 5th of feb. well anyways, i haven't seen him since valentines day and he left on vacation to another state for like a week. he said he would be back on thursday of last week. and he never called me or texted me. so then today he barely texts and says he was really really sorry that he hadn't talked to me. and that he wasn't able to talk to me untill now. but he didn't give me a reason. what do u think?

What happens if you dont, or dont till age 84 (bit late then) or die before you meet soone sepcail.

More realitically...


What happens when you meet said person...


if you are totally useless at chatting up, kissing, aint got a clue about dating let alone what to do in bed.


therefore your specail person wont even give you the time of day or reject you straight away.


or you just end up too shy as no confidence as no exerience.


Is it just 15 year olds who assume you will be guaranteed to meet your souplmate in a few weeks.


Rather then getting more and more lonlye and despirate and more hating yourself thinking you are ugley and nobody wants you whilst everyone else gets it all the time and girl/boyfreinds



Likewise say if you dont meet someone till over 30.

What use is that?

He's a my coworker (Mexican) and we can understand each other 40% of the time. Usually we just make hand gestures and simple words. I am trying my best to learn Spanish because of him. He's hinting most of the time that he likes me but never went too far to ask me out. Maybe because we're really different: social status wise, 2 years younger than me (meaning less mature?) and a potential flirt. But he really makes me so happy. I know we'll be happier if we could actually be together. But is it worth it to date someone you can't 100% understand? I know communciation is vital in serious relationships. Will it work?
