I need more info. cause if he's mean around friends , that tells me he is embarrassed by you. and if he's mean when you are alone then that means he wants some.

If you are in a relationship you need to know that you should feel good most of the time and if someone is hurting you this is wrong. Many people do not realize this or let gradual changes slip by and they lose their way.
If this is a coworker of acquaintance you should confront him in case he has some misconception you can correct.

the guy may just be playin it cool or sumthin, u kno tryin 2 play hard 2 get, just back away from him a lil, he'll come around eventually.
or the guy is kinda fruity and doesnt like females thats always a possibility

Sometimes guys being mean cos they dont know how to act around you when they like you. So perhaps this guy has feeling for you?

Desperate about what??? A loser who disrespects you?? Get going and move on--what is it you don't understand?? You should never accept that treatment--are you both young?? You both have lots to learn---first lesson--NEVER DATE A LOSER. Make it clear to him that you intend to move on and pursue other things in your life--it is YOUR choice and he cannot stop you.
