Singles & Dating - 17 February 2007

I moved in with my boyfriend 3 months ago while I look for a job. He has hardly been around the past 3 weeks and it it emotionally draining. He gets mad when I talk about how I am feeling and how he is mean to me. He even said that he doesn't know why I am so emotional because I have always been the strong one.

I told him that I give up, and he told me to hang on. Then when I told him that I wanted to take a job in another state, he told me "do what you want" and that would be the end of us.

Over the past 2 years, I have given up everything to be with this man. I am living in his apartment, yet he is hardly ever here. I am at a loss because when he is nice, there is no one who is better than him. He can be caring, romantic, and I enjoy being with him.

All my life I've played the epitome of the "nice guy." Helped the ladies when they needed help, complimented them, opened doors, etc... Where'd it got me: NOWHERE.
So I got sick of it, did the opposite, and just started acting like a jerk to any woman I could find. I make fun of their hair and taste in clothes, tease them about their friends, and pretend they are even lucky I'm paying attention to them. This is basically what I do to my guy friends.
They pretend like they are mad, but they absolutely love it. This has worked (for me) for any woman for the past 2 years regardless of age or body type. If it really annoyed them then they wouldn't stick around. Note: I still treat them with the utmost respect- I just bust on them.

So for all the talk women do about wanting "nice guys," it's not what they really want. So why don't you ladies just admit it? It'd save guys trouble and save you the time weeding through the bad eggs to find the spoilt one.
Like they say, nice guys finish last.

This boy was my first proper realtionship, it lastest three months wich may not seem a long time but in those three months I gave him everthing and constantly tried to please him. I loved this boy so much and was absolutley devestated when he broke up with me on the phone and gave me no explantion. So anyway i cry, get angry the usual ect. and then i move on get a new realtionship but that ends fast as i know im still in love with my ex. Dure in the whole time after the break up (even whilst i was dating the new boy) he played mind games with me through text and msn getting my hopes thinking he was going to ask for me back and makeing me sound pathetic by grovelling to him. In the end i read up on this and decided it wasnt the right way to get him back so i blocked and deleted him on msn, deleted his number and egnored him. soon enough he came back to me and asked me back out. Everything was great but then today he ended it again with no explanation. I love him but should i forget him?

basically, this guy been dropping all these not so subtle hints about how we should go out and hang out and stuff like that. He flirts with me a lot too and says stuff like 'you make me laugh more than anyone' 'you brighten my day' 'it'd be weird if I saw that movie alone or with guys' 'you look good everyday' 'I would go out with you'. He says stuff like "I wish other girls were as cool as you". He made me two cards for V-Day (because I lost the other one) and he walked to my house from his (not that far) to give me the second one. When he gave it to me, he kissed me on the cheek and then left. He's out of state now and about 5 minutes ago, my phone rang with only about 2 rings and then it stopped. I saw his number and called him back asking if he called and he paused and said "I might have". Then he said he'll call me later. Why????? Why did he call me if he's only going to leave? Does he like me or what?

My boyfriend tells me that he loves our relationship and doesn't want to lose me but it is difficult for me b/c we are not spendign much time together any more and I have chosen to spend mroe time with my friends (some of whch are male) since he is not available. I'm a vry active person. I'm not doing this to make him jealous. they were my frinds be/4 he and i mt and he was ok with it until now. probalby b/c he is not available and fels threatened.My boyfriend was very close to hismother and she passd away lss than one year ago. She ahd already passed when i mt him so i never met her. but he speaks of her very much. I'm also wondering if her death is the reason t hat we seem to have stppd getting to know each other and he works extremely longer hours and 6 days a week. I am assuming that his mothers death could be playing a part in us not spending more time togther. could hismothers death be affecting our relationship? if so how can i be there 4 him while he grieves

About a year ago, I had a relationship with a young man who seemed nice at first- but then as things went further, I found out that he was not only extremely controlling, but also very jealous and very possessive even though I didn't flirt with other men nor cheat on him. There were times when he would threaten to leave me when I wouldn't sleep with him. He wasn't pleased about the fact that I loved dressing up (he never had to pay for anything, I buy my own clothing and pay for my own beauty products) and always wanted me to dress very casually and not even fix my hair (I am NOT kidding!) whenever he wanted to see me. There were times when he would call me, moaning and nearly crying when the subject of me leaving him would come up. He even cheated on me. I have dated some men after that (just casually) and this man and I are already broken up, but I still feel this sense of pain, brokenness, and a much lower sense of self-esteem.
