Most people are saying it's bad, but if there is true love between you two, then its great. Age doesnt always matter.

Not bad, just risky. My son and I were just talking about this the other day. He is 17, and will be 18 in 4 months. He said he thought it wasn't right that if he was 16 and dated someone who was 15, that would be okay, but that as soon as he turned 18, he couldn't date even a 17-year-old girl without taking the chance that if they decided to have sex, he could be arrested for rape of a minor. Now my son is a virgin and wants to remain abstinent until marriage. Still, he thinks of these things.

I don't know what the law is where you live, but I believe in most states, you must be 18 to have sex with an adult or the adult in question would be guilty of a crime against a minor. Since you are only talking about GOING OUT with a 14-year-old, I think you will be okay, but if things get physical, then if the 14-year-old or his/her parents report you to the police, you could be arrested. Also, even if things DON'T get physical, if someone accuses you of something you could be totally innocent of, you could still be thrown in jail if the police believe the accuser. As long as you keep the relationship innocent, you should be okay, but you do run the risk of problems.

Yes - As you get older such an age gap is not a drama. But at these two ages you are at such different stages of your life and generally this can only end badly (I can say from experience - and mine was only two years difference).
Once you get older you tend to be at a more level playing field with your life and can share in the same activities and interests.
My husband and I are now just less than 5year difference and you would not know.

Yeah. Not only is that a huge age difference in terms of maturity (a 14 year old is way behind a 18 year old in terms of age and experience), it is also totally illegal for an 18 year old to date a minor in most states.

For the 14 year old yes.

Yes because the 14 year old is to young to date

I believe it is a bad idea. For example, and eighteen year old can drive and a fouteen year old can't. I'm sorry, but I don't believe that would be a good idea, you might get in some trouble. Hope everything works out!

I think the relationship is very inappropriate. There is no reason why the 18 year old adult should be with the 14 year old CHILD who has barely experienced puberty.

i dont think so..when i was 16 i went out with a 20 year old. we were really close and had a lot of things in common..tht was one of the best relationships i was in...we didnt even think about our age difference..it never seemed to be an issue. i think it depends on the person your with and whether or not ur mature enough to be with somebody older

You do realize that it is illegal in this day and age to have sex with a minor, right?
I think 16 is the youngest any girl should be "going out" anyways.

Where are your parents? Do they know about it? How old were they when your mom got knocked up?
