basically, this guy been dropping all these not so subtle hints about how we should go out and hang out and stuff like that. He flirts with me a lot too and says stuff like 'you make me laugh more than anyone' 'you brighten my day' 'it'd be weird if I saw that movie alone or with guys' 'you look good everyday' 'I would go out with you'. He says stuff like "I wish other girls were as cool as you". He made me two cards for V-Day (because I lost the other one) and he walked to my house from his (not that far) to give me the second one. When he gave it to me, he kissed me on the cheek and then left. He's out of state now and about 5 minutes ago, my phone rang with only about 2 rings and then it stopped. I saw his number and called him back asking if he called and he paused and said "I might have". Then he said he'll call me later. Why????? Why did he call me if he's only going to leave? Does he like me or what?

You didn't mention how old the two of you were, but I'm guessing you're both fairly young. (At my age, almost everyone is young!)
Yes, he likes you. As you say, he's dropped not so subtle hints about going out, etc. He compliments you. He gives you Valentines. Yup. He likes you.
As to why he hung up, you'll have to ask him. It'll make a nice icebreaker and give you something to talk about.

Tell the man how YOU feel. he is really trying to hard to "feel you out". he is looking for a response that you either arent giving, or hes not catching. the best approach when trying to get a man to listen attentively, is sit him down, look him in the eye, and make him answer you point-blank. sometimes thats what it takes. try it. anyway hope this helped.

It's what you think that matters. He sounds like a nice guy, he also sounds like he is nervous. what made you ask him when you called him back knowing that he did call you, and asked if he called ? If he likes you he will call back again. This time you evaluate what is going on next time.

i think tht he may have been wanting to ask you out but was to nervous. he might have been nervous bcuz somtimes people may like flirting with a person instead of actually going out , and the flirting when going out may be different and oquard.
