There are two ways of looking at this.
1. You are more attracive as a person if you are not looking for love. This is always true.
2.It is true that most people find love when they aren't thinking about it. People who start off as friends of friends become something more. You might be on holiday, or totally drunk. YOu never know where you will meet the perfect person.
So overall, go out and meet a lot of people to increase your chances of finding love, but go out to have fun and not a boyfriend.

Don't worry too much over that and it will happen to you some day.
When I was younger, I tried to find love but after a while i gave up and next thing I knew it found me. I think its partly to do with destiny but then again I don't always believe in destiny???? haha
I know this woman who's forever on a man hunt as she wants a boyfriend but she just ends up trying too hard which ends up scaring away the men sometimes. Bless her! I know she will find love eventually.... sometimes its right in your face and you just don't realise it.
Just go with the flow, and enjoy life.

Yes I have heard that saying also, But I have gone 10 years without looking and no one. I know I have to make myself available mainly because I am self-employed and don't meet men and I rarely go places where they hang so it is tough for me. I did sign up with match.com and if I don't meet someone by then of course I will get 6 months free but after that, if I don't I will remain accept being single and find a way to be content.

I heard that many times a long time ago and just blew it to the wind and continued my man hunt but as soon as I stopped looking I found the love of my life (while I was playing dominoes on yahoo.com). Now we're engaged to be married. So maybe you should stop looking.

Yes, do you know why?don't worry I'll tell you. It's because when you stop trying to be what another person wants you to be &start to be yourself again.Doing things that you actually like. Loving yourself & pleased with your own skin.Finding out what you like or don't like.To be comfortable with who you are, therefore not looking to be desperate, needy,&just lookin to be in a "relationship".which of course scares people.Start setting boundaries, goals, what you want for your life.Love you so others can love you too!Plus it's alote easier to approach someone who is smiling & having fun & content with their own life, therefore no one else needs to save you, you already saved yourself from alote of wasted days & nights!!

I would believe it. I met my late husband in a bar on a Sunday night, we got married 5 wks after we met, and he passed away 2 months before our 13 yr anniversary. Just stop looking for it, because it is there.

well i never believed in that but i do now...
while i was in school my now wife was the girl of my dreams...
i would walk her home from school and was totally smitten with her...
after a while i finally thought that i should just give up on her and move on...so i just vowed to be her friend...
a few days later i was the ear and shoulder for hear words and tears....
we got to talking and after a few months got together and have now been together for five years...
so that was what made me a believer...

only because when u look for it u appear desperate and guys see that and when it comes to love nobody is interested in desperation but rather sex. u wont be able to stop though coz if u are looking u cant stop it within. just try to petend u dont stare or look at people as if u are desperate, but usually when u dont look for it trully it comes even if u dont want it

There's an element of truth to this, because once you stop looking, you start expanding your horizons.
You're not constantly looking for a date (and therefore don't look desperate), as a consequence you look more confident and interesting, which is when a interesting people start looking at you

Yeah, that might be true. When you stop looking, your mind will be on other things like school or work. And when you least expect it, someone incredible while enter your life and blow you away.
When you stop searching for love, love will find you.
