Singles & Dating - 13 February 2007

I was talking to a friend, telling her about a guy I recently stopped dating. It was mutual, because we both decided that we didn't communicate well. He would act as though he didn't understand what I would say, and he seemed to be defensive, as though he had to prove something. Anyway, I told my friend that I've found that I tend to communicate better with men who are educated....not necessarily Master's or Ph.D level, but who have some amount of higher education. I think she took what I said the wrong way, and I feel like she inplied that I came off like a snob. I know that I'm not. I was just being honest about the kinds of guys I like...intelligent conversation is important to me. I'm open to all kinds of guys because I know that not having a college degree doesn't mean that a person is unintelligent, nor does having one mean that a person is knowledgeable about everything.

theres this kid in my social studies class i call him "dew" as a code name. (inside joke). anyway, i sit at his table and we when talk he always looks me in the eye and smiles and hes so sweet to me . the negative side is, i never talk to him outside of class, and he used to ( i dont know if he still does) like my best friend. and i like him?

I'm quite depressed right now... there was this fellow student of mine I really liked...and I really thought she liked me, too. So I decided giving her a small Valentine's Day gift and a confession letter... And her reply? "Oh sorry, I'm actually having the same feelings you describe in your letter for someone else!" Cool, or?
This sort of happens constantly to me...whenever I'm in love with a girl and I think she's really into me, she simply says the contrary... And receiving daily kisses on the cheeks or long phone calls don't seem misinterpreted love signs to me... but I guess I'm a die alone and unloved anyway :(

ok so this guy asked me out at a movie theatre and i said yes because i thought i really liked him and everything he was sweet,but on the way back home i felt miserable,i thought "what did i do!? i don't like him as much as i thought i did,i liked the thought of him more tha i really liked him" so before i knew it i broke up with him 20 minutes later,and then the worse thing ever happened i immadiatley started likeing this boy named alejandro who unfortunatley is my ex's best friend whom hes known since they were 2. and i really like alejandro and i occasioanlly here the you will ruin there friendship but then i think im gonna get bad karma what should i do? keep my feeklings 2 myself or tell him how i feel?

I went out with this guy for a month starting in December.On New Years he told me loved me so I decided that because I wasn't feeling the same we should break up. I broke up with him on that Sunday.I did it over the phone but told him I would see him on the 9th because he wanted to talk.I reiterated my feelings and agreed to be just friends.He called me throughout the week asking if we could hang out on the weekend and I became irritated. He called me 1/15 saying it was important we talk and he kept saying he wanted to be with me.I told him we would not be together nor friends because he would not respect my feelings and that was that. He sent me three text messages the next day saying various things.He called me that night about four times and more texts.I finally answered and told him to never call me again and he said it was done.Since he has sent me flowers, more texts saying he loves me, a letter, pictures, and a music CD.I haven't responded.Is it serious enough to contact police?

When I was 23 I used to get so much action. Back then, I barely had money to take someone have dinner on a fast food place, yet I got very lucky. Back then I was on the university’s swimming team. I used to go to the beach, show off my washboard stomach, show off my dancing pecs, I used to be able to get away with wearing speedos on the beach. I used to dance shirtless all the times at clubs, you’d never see me with a shirt on.
Today, after 2 years at my office job, I gained 50 pounds. I have a great new car, I got a house, I got expensive clothes, yet now I can’t seem to get anyone.
I’m thinking of quitting my high paying job, and take a lesser paying job that it’ll allow to swim 3-4 hours per day like I used to, so I can get my body back.

What would girls prefer, A guy with a hot body who makes 40K or fat guy who makes 100K?

My boyfriend and I have been together for 8 yrs. and we have two kids together. The past 2yrs. he has been seeing and sleeping with another woman off and on. Ever time I ask him about her he claims that he don't have anything to do with her no more but recently I found some text messages in his phone that proves that he has been lying to me. We have been through this so many times before in the past and each time he apologizes and tell me that he has left her alone, and he don't want to be with anybody else but me. He tells me that I am the one that he is going to marry, and this past Christmas he gave me an engagement ring, but yet I find out that he is still seeing her behind my back. I have had enough of this, but I love him so much I still don't want to leave him, but at the same time I don't know if I could ever trust him again. I am hurt and so Confused someone please help.

This girl is 18 and she is visiting here from England. We have been together alot(6 times) since she has been here. We talk and are past getting to know eachother. I like her alot and want to keep talking to her after she leaves. I dont want her to leave and then we just never talk again.
