Singles & Dating - 4 February 2007

Im the writer who is supposed to go to a superbowl party with my boyfriend today. He worked last nite and will probably be sleeping all day long. He has this thing where he drinks himself into impotence and then we cannot have sex until he sobers up after 24 hours. Its just plain getting old.
Today he wants me to come over when I get thru making snacks for the party and crawl in bed with him. I do not sleep with him because his drinking problems, ex wife, and interfering adult kids are getting on my nerves and I need to make a point somehow that this is going no where. I plan to never make a futile attempt at having sex with him again. Its a big disappointment and there is not reason to get naked for him. He doesnt turn me on. Its ridiculous and I deserve someone who puts me 1st. I just plain feel sorry for him. How do I break the news? Just pop in with the snacks 10 minutes before its time to leave?

This guy knows that I like him and have feelings for him. Recently, he told me that he is going to try working things out with his baby's mama but he told me today that there was no way in h*ll he was getting her anything for Valentine's day. Does that mean they aren't together?

Look, we're all going to die in a couple of years. So, I don't feel like putting in an effort to try to make someone happy, which I don't like doing, or looking for someoen. So why do I need a girlfriend? I hate love. I have never asked a girl out, because I am ugly, although people have told me I'm attractive, but they must be blind. I would be embrassed. I can never be embrassed. I don't deserve love if it actually is as good as people say, which it isn't. I can't ever reward myself with anything. Love is not for people with an iron fist, like me, because it ruins your reputation and makes you look submissive. If I did happen to want a girl, she would never be seen with me, otherwise, people would laugh at me and think I'm weak. I would probably beat her brains out, because I'm violent. I would much rather sit at my house, eat, and drink champagne all day instead of putting up with all that romance crap .I like being lonely, and don't tell me I have a problem, because I don't.

i wouldn't say i am a vain person, but lately, i have been very concerned with my physical appearance. simply because i think that i will get a more favorable reaction from females. when i talk to a female, i always get conscience because i think that there are much better looking guys (some of which are my friends) and she won't have any interest in me. is this normal, and how can i change this?

I am confused. I am single and dating a girl, who is in a relation, but her bf is living in another country. (dont know if i can call it dating. we go clubbing, movies, and just a walk etc.) We talk about anything. she even comes to my place and watch movies with me. A friend of mine told me a couple years ago that I should learn how to play the guitar; she said it's "a very sexy talent to have." So I "inadvertently" picked it up and I've been playing ever since. But it's never really made me more attractive, as far as girls are concerned. At least, I haven't noticed.

I'm not concerned with impressing anyone at the moment, cuz I enjoy just playing for recreation; I'm just curious as to what you girls think about it. Is it attractive? Is it egotistical? Are you neutral about it?

ok i really like this guy and he seems to like me back but he kinda ignores me in one of the classes we have 2gather. but in the other class we have 2gather he flirts wit me. he does all the work and he actully gets me better grades then him. the teacher has to keep telling us to stop messin around but he just keeps messing wit and tickilin m.he is the most populsr guy in the whole skool. but i hate alot of his friends and he hates mine. he tells me im bueatiful and smart but he dont want to hang out wit me cause im always wit my friends and there totally rude to him all the time he will mess wit me in the halls but only when im not wit my friends. do u think he likes me or what???

When a girl says "I love you", tells everybody that your her "best friend", and acknowledges you every time you happen to pass by her, what does it mean? I would really like to get to know this particular man better and I have never asked anyone out before in my life, also, I want to know how you know if he is interested in you. I only have his e.mail address now as I used to work with him on a very casual short term basis....I really like him, but know that our paths will cross again.
