long story short, guy meets girl, they fall in love, guy forgets to tell girl hes engaged living with his fiance and 10 yo kid. girl leaves guy and tells fiance. guy then 6mos or so later contacts girl to tell her he is in love with her, is sorry, and wants to try again. girl falls for his lies, finds out hes still living with fiance with no plans of leaving.

question is why would a man be so damned stupid, to go back to the girl who ratted him out before, only to do the same thing a second time, and risk being burned again?!?

I've been with my boyfriend for 18 months. I have a best friend from scotland who i've known for a few months now, i live in surrey, so we're quite far from eachother, he's called Andy and he fancies me, but i don't feel the same way, we IM each other, text and talked on the phone once and get on really well, but he flirts with me and tells me he loves me, i don't say it back. Ive met this cute guy and he phones exactly after 11 days and the last time he rang for 2 mins. Okay, I know I'm going to probably feel really stupid once someone gives me the answer to this question, but....I was just thinking about this phrase - 'cause I was just about to use it...when it occurred to me -

If "hopeless" means "without hope"...and to basically not expect something to have an ideal or positive outcome.....then, how could a "hopeless romantic" be someone who is keeping his/her fingers crossed for the possibility of one day falling in love or who is just in love with the idea of being in love or being romantic or romanced????

Wouldn't the appropriate phrase be "'hopeful' romantic"???

Someone let me know, now, if I'm wrong....

I met this girl 6 months ago , when i came to this new highschool . She didn`t look interesting at the moment, but a few weeks ago i realized i had a crush on her. I started talking to her more often , and she responded quite well. I had the feeling that she enjoys talking with me too.
