Has the "gentleman" in dating simply become... non-existent? And if so, is he still needed?

I like this girl and she obviously likes me. I only know 1 good pick-up line to get her number, and it works because she is smart. The problem is, I can't find a way to approach her because she is the quiet type and when I talk to her she doesn't really say anything except yes or no. How can I start a long conversation without her one word answers?

okay i have neva kissed before, im not gonna tell u my age becoz i no ur gonna say, youre too young blah blah blah. I have a bf and the other day he tried to kiss me i backed away becoz i have never kissed a boy before, (it would have been my first time), i dont know how to kiss, and obviously i wanna know how, so i was hoping u could tell me exactly from start to finish how it goes, (he usually makes the first move) , so the question here is how do u kiss? (from start to finish. and also do u get a feeling wen u kiss someone or is it just empty?

We have been dating on and off for 5 years. As of last year we finally got serious and moved in together after doing the long distance thing for quite some time. A year later now we moved from our apartment to our condo. My girlfriend has to be doing something constantly and drives me crazy. During the week I like to work, go workout and then relax and watch some TV before going to bed. It couldn't be more the opposite for her, she needs to go do something all the time, I'm sick of going to the mall 15 min away so she can try on a skirt that may or may not fit, I'm sorry but me going to buy a DVD is different, at least I know what I'm getting ahead of time and its what I want. I just like to chill during the week, I'm physically and mentally exhausted. We fight about it all the time, I can't hardly breathe with this small space she gives me, I was an only child for 10 years, I like being independent. Granted, good times are good, but the bad is just CRAP!

Who's supposed to make the first move? What move are you supposed to make? Hand holding, kiss, hug, cuddling? I don't know Im confused on what you're supposed to do! Can you keep it appropiate Im 14. (I know you are supposed to speak to eachother, but I need things besides that!)

Been dating 9 months, been great. He gave 3 reasons for breaking up: (1) Love. he loves me, therefore he wants to break up with me. Basically, he feels unworthy of me so bad about continuing to date me, and would break up as an act of love. (2) Time. He wants us to spend time doing other things, and grow while apart. (3) Timing. He wants us to break up while "our relations are still beautiful"/before we start disliking each other (Something I doubt will ever need to happen). I know he is being sincere, he insists that those are his reasons. From the beginning he has shown signs of being insecure about himself. He started dating me by saying "I Don't feel proportionate/worthy of you, but I want to date you." I already told him his reasons don't make any sense. He wrote back "The reasons for thinking lets break up are what I said just before. I am honestly so absolutely grateful to you. I think it is better if we break up." What should I do to stay together? He is truthful

Okay, I love this guy. I love him more and more every day. He likes me as a friend and everything and that makes me happy. So, this guy has a girlfriend. She's one of my best friends. The thing is, she's moving this summer. Would it be totally wrong to make a move on this guy after she left? We don't have that whole 'don't date a friend's ex' rule. It doesn't matter in our group. i was going out with this guy 2 years ago. i remember i didnt know him very well. the thing is my friend hooked me up with him because she thought i was wasting my time on another guy that cheated on me twice with my best friend. I find out i was going out with him know, just like that. luckily he was cute. the thing is we went out more than 3 times. i broke up with him every time. now im right here all alone. i see him at school but we dont talk to eachother. he has had other girlfriends but every one tells me he still likes me.i think im starting to like him a little. my friends tell me he still likes me because they talk to him. the situation is, i have been with my boyfriend for 5 years, and we are stable, comfortable, affectionate.

I have met a man online, not even in a flirting situation to begin with ( he had a girlfriend, never intended to cheat or even flirt neither did I) we both said from the second we started talking we weren't single and had no intention of cheating or even 'chat cheating' but, ..from the very first day we spoke, we couldn't stop thinking about each other. I know how silly that sounds. We have been talking for hours and hours on the phone every day, and plan to meet (we can't not, we feel) the trouble is, I can't choose. Do I go with the man who has given me stability, albeit not very exciting, for the last 5 years, or give it all up (with all the mess and disruption that comes with that) for someone who i love and who understands me and vice versa, I mean on a level I've never had before..but with the risk that it might not work out? I've never been more confused! I love him!

I hav a huge crush on Mitchel Musso and his Celeb Crush is Jessica Alba! Oh and Mitchel Musso is famous ( Oliver from Hannah Montana.) He said he'd date a fan!Anyways, I get told I look a mix of Vanessa Hudgens and this girl named Jessica Alba. SO I think he'd like my looks. I know he'd like my personality. there's this guy who i've liked forever, i can never get him out of my head, he is amazing....anyway, i never though he liked me, until the other day he kissed me, with his tongue half way down my throat...LOL....but thing is he's asked me to go out with him....but it's really weird, i don't want to...but still i really really really really like him....i don't get it, why don't i? i've never had a bf before. what do i do? what do i say!!!?
