Last week i told a guy friend of mine at work that it would be better that we didn't talk so i can get over my crush on him since he's in a long distance relationship with another girl, as a matter of fact, she's in the Phillipines and he's here in the US. Before this happened, we joked around about hooking up, but then i felt bad and hurt about us joking about it. I told him that i really wanted to do it since i like him, but he has a gf and that it wouldn't be wise if we did it. Anyway, i got angry with him since he didn't respond back to me after I texted him Happy New Year's and I ended up sending him another text calling him a "dog" and that i didn't want to have anything to do with him, then later i apologized via text. Then the next day , I wrote him a letter telling him how i felt hurt about us joking around, and the fact we just treat each other as professionals. He's ignoring me, no hello, excuse me, thank you, nada and i'm thinking he's a jerk.

OK i was dating a girl, and she was quite ignorant.
She had never been to college, or hold any degree or certification.
Yet, she acted mentally as if she was a Harvard Graduate.

She would demand respect as such, and I couldn't help but think that she needed to earn her place in this world before demanding respect.

So this first question is for the ladies...If you have never finished college, and may not be in the best shape of your life...
then why do you expect your man to be educated, accomplished, and in good shape?

Second question, why do you demand respect as if you were an accomplished individual when you may be ignorant.

i'm feeling quite depressed at the moment as i dont want to carry on with my girlfriend who i have only been dating for two months. normally i would just finish the relationship, but i like her best friend. i've liked her ever since we started going out, and the feelings have become stronger everytime im around her. what should i do?

ok I have this ex that I have been trying to get back with.. He said he needed his time to think..ect.. long story short.. our kids bowl together and never really comes up to watch when he has his kids.. He usually picks them up after bowling is over. Well this last time he came up there and he walked up to the table and and said whats up... and sat down next to me.. We played Keno together and just had normal conversations.. it was great..

my question is this: (and this is what I think)--- If he absoultley did not want any part of you and he knew I was there.. would he even attemp to sit there next to you if there are other seats and you could just stand back and watch?? Would he even talk to you knowing that you want him back and want to work things out??

Is that his way of showing he still cares or whatever, because I know guys have some problems communicating sometimes...

This question is open but I'd like to hear from mature guys who date fairly regularly.

I met a nice guy online and we're set to go on our first date.

Convention puts all the onerous on guys to do everything, pay, bring flowers or some other gift, open doors, etc. etc. While I'm old-fashioned, I'd also like to show to a guy that I appreciate his efforts and would like to bring my date a nice little gift, especially since I know he'll probably pick up the tab (even if I offer).

What would be a nice, small gift just to break the ice and develop a nice rapport for the evening (and possibly for the relationship on the whole)? Thanks.

My boyfriend is trying to control me and blaming me that I am sleeping around with my friends when I hang out with them. He constantly wants to make me fit in his schedule and he belittles the activities that I do. He was so loving and caring in the beginning but two months after he became violent and started throwing objects around me. I try to calm him down speaking with him but he seems that he doesn't care and he doesn't trust me. What can I do? I am really feeling depressed, I do whatever he says but even when I do what he says he is not satisfied and sometime he is not satisfied with the choices that he makes and he blames me. I am totally confused but some other times we have good times. Could you give me some advice? I offered him to go to a couple therapist, but he thinks I am the one who needs to see a therapist. Sex is good and we have really happy times but I feel so down more than half the time. He wants me to give up on my friends, if I love him.

Ok, I met this girl online. She seems pretty cool. Only thing is...i read her live jounal, and it turns out she smokes. Right away I would move on, the thing is she only smokes once in awhile...during exams and such. I think smoking is vile, and my mom died from lung cancer, so should I even keep talking to her/and eventually meet her/date her??? she seems nice other wise.

This morning I meant to ask this chick coworker that when we are going to get paid? always mean 50-50? I don't think everything can be 50-50. Sometimes one person might 100 and the other 0 whereas the person who gave 0 in one situation might give 100 in the other. I would think that sometimes it would have to be 70-30 or 80-20 or whatever.

Me and my gf have been together for 8months and we are very much in love, but the past 1 month or two the relationship has not been right as I had college commitments and she had school, and we havent seen much of each other frm when it started not going right up until now, she told me a couple of days ago, she doesnt feel the same about us anymore and that 'spark' has gone, but she says she still loves me and she does and doesnt want to be with me anymore because she doesnt beleive it will work if we try and mend it and we decided to go on a 2 week break when her exams are finished, the question is what do I do in the meantime and how to mend what was once so great for us both, I dont want to lose her as I love Her So So Much...
