Last week i told a guy friend of mine at work that it would be better that we didn't talk so i can get over my crush on him since he's in a long distance relationship with another girl, as a matter of fact, she's in the Phillipines and he's here in the US. Before this happened, we joked around about hooking up, but then i felt bad and hurt about us joking about it. I told him that i really wanted to do it since i like him, but he has a gf and that it wouldn't be wise if we did it. Anyway, i got angry with him since he didn't respond back to me after I texted him Happy New Year's and I ended up sending him another text calling him a "dog" and that i didn't want to have anything to do with him, then later i apologized via text. Then the next day , I wrote him a letter telling him how i felt hurt about us joking around, and the fact we just treat each other as professionals. He's ignoring me, no hello, excuse me, thank you, nada and i'm thinking he's a jerk.

alright um you liked him but he had a gf and now hes ignoring you because you sent him a text calling him a dog but it WASNT for him then you tried to apologize then now he wont talk to you maybe ask him again later if you guys can still be friends but let him i guess think about the apology then if he knows what kind of a friend he lost hell be back

You should try to be cooler in the future. If you send him a text message that says, "happy new years"...you should wait for the response like you have a lot of guys in your stable instead of acting like this guy is your only option. If you make yourself less accessible to him, then he might start to miss you. Currently, he receives a lot of attention from you, and the attention is mixed, both good and bad. Sometimes you send him a hot signal, then a cold signal, and then a hot one again. If you just left it at that, then it wouldn't be a big deal.
However, you wrote him a letter that didn't offer him an option the next day. He cannot joke around about it or act like professionals, so all he can do is date you. Since you earlier said, "it wouldn't be wise", you have already boxed yourself into this situation. The only thing he can do is not talk to you anymore. In fact, he may even think you're a little weird because you switch from hot to cold too much.
moral of the story: Send the signal you want, and wait for the response so that you can send the right signal across.

Leave the next move up to him, now. Calling someone a dog and telling him you don't want to have anything to do with him sounds pretty definite that you don't like him and don't want him around. If your apology works - fine, otherwise just leave it be.

GIRL PLEASE.....just ignore him and go on with your life, its not that serious at all... he is just you co-worker plus he didnt respond to any of you text messages he s not worth it so leave it alone. If he is a dog you dont want to be the one to find out, leave that to his girlfreind.

If he values the relationship he has with you, he will come around. When he does, treat him cordially, but play hard to get. Some men want what they think they can't have.

Let it go! Obviously, he isn't interested in a real relationship and you aren't interested in anything but. It's happened to me and hard, but it's for the best.
