Singles & Dating - 27 December 2006

I started dating one of my good guy friends of three years about two months ago. Well he stayed over one night and has not left since! He has his own apartment but has not even been there in two months! I was out in the garage this morning and realized how much stuff he has over at my house.. Its like he is slowly moving in! I want to continue dating him but need to know of a nice way to tell him to go home! Any suggestions???

I am constantly feeling lonely and desperate to be with someone. I feel like a feeling of security, warmth, and love. I find myself wanting to be held and touched. My mom is always joking around with me saying I need a boyfriend because I'm always hanging on her but at the same time she won't allow me to date. I am a virgin and I'm trying to hold out on having sex but in a way I kind of believe that it's something my body needs. Can anyone explain to me why I feel the way I do?

This young woman I work with has a boyfriend who has not given her a Christmas present for the two years they have been dating. They now live together and he missed another one. She is very upset by this, but he says he doesn't believe in buying gifts. She is asking our advice on what to do. Is this worth breaking up a relationship over? I can't understand why he just can't get her a gift to keep the peace. Is this foreshadowing on their future? I think so, what about you.

Oaky....so I'm a little bitter towards men. I was with this guy I planned to marry. We both had the thought of marriage in the near future.... but the more I realized it...the more I saw how immature he is. when i started talking to this guy, i did not anticipate a relationship. I knew he had ex issues. i just wanted to have fun. We go 2 college together. then he started telling me all these sweet things. it seemed as if he had deep feelings for me.

im usually the one who falls first, and it never works out. so i thought it would be ok to let myself go with him. this time, since he started it.

3months go by we spend all our free time together. maybe 3 months isnt long. mayeb im rushing? i think he should know if he wants to be steady or not.

i bring it up and he says: "i want to be with you. its just if i get with u now it wont be fair to you b/c me and her (the ex) have unresolved issues that i need to figure out and dont want to be thinking about while im with you. when im with you it should be all about you."

so now i wonder what to do. am i wasting my time. should i stick around. do i leave him alone

I've been dating someone for 3 mnths, & I finally brought him over to dinner. He has tattoos, smokes, doesn't have a great job & has some other skeletons. My parents were kind of open to meeting, but apparently they asked him some things about his past that didn't quite sound real, so they basically told me he was BS-ing me, and I should start distancing myself.
On one hand, they really know people, plus they're my parents, & I know they want the best for me and raised me in a wonderful household.
If he's lying to my family on their first meeting, & yes, I think he might have exaggerated some things...then that's not cool. But I think he was nervous & stressed and trying to impress...I can kind of forgive that, although that's what my 'rents are really annoyed with. I've never felt so happy with someone before. He's made me feel so open & like just living is all that matters, nothing else. I'm so torn, I can't figure out how to do what. I love my family, but this is so hard!

Please tell me what to do!! two months ago I broke up with my bf who I had for 4 years relationship...then suddenly I found a new bf...after that I didnt know why after having 3 weeks relationship...my new bf broke up with me....I didnt even cry for this two relationship....I want to know why? and am I ready for a new relationship?
