When dating as a single parent, how can you tell if the opposite sex is acctually accepting of your child. How long should you wait before introducing this person to your child. Do guys find it a turn off if a female is a single parent(sole custody, no involvement from the biological father). How do you know if you are ready to begin dating again to begin with.

A friend of mine continually talks about the thrill of the chase....in other words she likes when a man chases her pesistantly trying to actually win her affections, and finds it positively exciting.....do women/men really enjoy the thrill of the chase?......and can it be a real turn on, or turn off in some cases?

i'm a college student in my early twenties and i found that i'm not really into the social scene anymore. Parties and all that are nothing but drama and i've been putting myself away from it. I want to focus on bigger and better things and i feel like all the stuff is getting old and is a waste of time. My friends on the other hand, think it's "weird" because people haven't "heard" from me. I'll hang out with a few close friends but that's it - nothing too much...is this normal? Am i going through a phase? why am i acting like this?

i am single at the moment. i may be wrong in doing this but i now have expectations about how my next girl should be. and one of the criterias is that she should be hot.

there are 3 girls interested in me, one of which is really really interested, lets just call her 'C'. but neither of them satisfies the expectations i have.

should i go out with 'C' so that i don't end up disappointing her or should i wait untill i find someone who actually has the things that i am looking for?

I have this feeling that 'C' is looking for something long term, but i am not sure. but if she is, then she's going to be really disappointed if she finds out that she doesn't come up to my expectations.

is it bad to have expectations?

While I was in college I met a wonderful man. He's 20 years older than myself. At the time I was in a long-term relationship (and still am), so I never went past the casual conversation on the street. He took over my thoughts, everything. My boyfriend eventually realized what was going on, and so I stopped talking to him (the other man) altogether. I could tell that he felt something for me as well but he didn't know what to do as I. I graduated from college and left the state, but never said goodbye or anything at all to him. I know I shouldn't be with this current boyfriend, but I feel trapped. We've been together for 4 years now, but he depends so much on me for everything. Anyway, my question is should I attempt to contact this person whom I haven't seen or spoken to in 3 months? Or should I let it be? I still can't stop thinking about him and the ever constant "what if?" is haunting me.

I'm out with this girl. We were friends when we were kids and I just got back in touch with her. I think she knows that I like her more than a friend but I can't tell if she like me back. Tonight when I took her home, I kinda chickened out and didnt even walk her to the door, even though I knew I should had. I know it's not love, but it sure does feel like it. I was dumped by my girlfriend about six months ago, after about a year of dating. Now I'm stationed overseas in Doha, Qatar, and I keep feeling depressed and just...absolutely wrecked. She absolutely was everything that I wanted in a woman, and I'm afraid I'll never find someone that clicks with me like she did. We still talk on AIM. I can't stop looking at pictures of her, us, things like that, and I have this intense desire to know what she's doing, who she's doing it with...I want to be involved in her life again. I feel like a stalker, but I can't get her out of my head and move on. I'm extremely jealous of the guy she's with now, and one of her friends told me that my ex feels like I'm not getting the hint that she's happy now...but I just can't let go. I don't know what to do to move on, and I really need some help. I'm sick of having this heavy, sickening sensation in my stomach when I think about her or look at pictures.
