When a guy says he would love you if he was single what does it mean?
i was dating a guy for a while we both were very physically attracted to one another and things broke up as i was upset about my job etc a little needy at the time...he always stares at me when we are out and the other day i apoligised to him and he said i was one of the most lovely people he had met and that initially he was intimidated by my job ( i have quite a high powered job and earn good money) he also said he thought i was gorgeous back then and still does, i said i was leaving and he kept on grabbing me and said he would love me...if he was single..When i chatted about one of my ex boyfriends he got jealous and said 'what about us?'. He has only just started to date someone else..i have always been infatuated with him and vice versa..what should i do should i ask him for a drink as friends, i think he could of beena potential one

I haven't been in a relationship since my daughter was born 18 mo. ago. Her father lives in CO and I live in IL. He was the last person I'd been with. Our relationship started out good but ended rough due to his verbal and physically abusive nature. I finally got fed up with him and moved away. I don't really have a strong desire to be intimate with anyone right now. But I do want to know what is the best way for me to open back up and give men a chance again. I have a real outgoing personality but it is hard for me to trust. So does anyone have any good suggestions on how to enjoy my life again aside from my beautiful child?

my boyfriend of 8 months put me on hold and in the background he then asked his friend for anygirl number and then he got one and asking his friend if the girl will talk to him, right now im hurt and confused. I don't know what to believe anymore cause he telling me it was his friend number he taking down. I reall love this guy but i really don't know what to do anymore.

I have known this guy for a long time and we have always been friends. I had my birthday in september and he asked my best friend if he could ask me out and she said no, because I never thought of him like that. But after a long night we talked and I told him we could try if it was okay with one of our friends (who likes him)

He talked to her and she said she wants us to go out because we are both her friends and she wants us to be happy... well.... now it is like a few months later.... nothing....

Then he askes about dinner one night and I could not go because I was going away. Then about two weeks later.. (last week) he wants to go out for dinner and a movie.. I decide to go and give it a try. Well so that night comes.. and he invited our friend the one who liked him to come with us. The whole night was werid... and he was werid... and he has not talked to me since....

What do I do? What is with him?

You see I'm 34 and just about every woman near my age is either married or has kids (I love kids but a friendship I had with a woman who had a little boy went sour and it was twice the heartbreak since I really loved the kid, so I stear clear of that) and so I'm left with a lot of girls from ages as early as 18. I would rather date woman in their mid twenties but I feal I should try and be open to younger ones too. Everyone I know says I look younger than my age but still would all you young woman out there think I'm just to old?

Me and my boyfriend have been dating for about 9 months now and he goes to a different school...we broke up about 3 months ago but we got back together...ever since we got back together hes changed...before he was sweet and he would tell me he loved me everyday...now he doesnt say at all...i feel like he is taking me for granted and hes changed alot...I love him and we lost our virginity to each other...he never calls me and i always have to call him...Sometimes i dont know where he is and he never tells me anything that goes on at his school or where he was or what he was doing when he doesnt call me...sometimes we even go days without talking because he doesnt call me back...i love him and i dont want to loose him...but everytime i try to talk to him he gets super mad and tries to runaway...what should i do??

Is it just because she would come off as slutty? (The guy should then be considered the same as the girl in that situation, but I understand the double standard that exists and there isn't much getting around that.)

Ok, right now I have a boyfriend and I love him lots. Now, my best guy friend is a little bit younger than me and he isn't good with stuff like kissing and holding hands. My boyfriend gets free trips for 2 to places around the US for his work. He invited me but, I cannot go. Instead, he is taking his friend thats a girl and they will share a room,and possibly a bed. He said he is only taking her because a friend went on his phone and invited her and she thought it was him. When he told her it wasn't him, she didn't believe him. Hey everybody, I'm 18 years old and a freshman in college. I'm not horrifically ugly, but I'm not a looker either. I've never had a girlfriend before. I've been on a couple dates but I'm a **** up. I always end up screwing something up or I'm "a good friend, but not boyfriend type". Part of the problem is I'm not outwardly shy, but I have a lot of trouble letting people get close to me. Everytime I try to open up to a girl, she just runs because I'm weird or something. The more times I get rejected, the harder it gets.
