Is it just because she would come off as slutty? (The guy should then be considered the same as the girl in that situation, but I understand the double standard that exists and there isn't much getting around that.)

You answered your own post...so basically, there is no logical reason....if he's going to be turned off because she had sex right away, he's just as guilty...if he didn't intend to date her beyond having sex, he should've made it clear from the outset that it was only about sex...
So, good dating rule to go by, is not to have sex on the first date...while it won't always cause things to fall apart, it might...you can go wrong by doing it...you can't go wrong by waiting a bit.

If a guy gets it on the first date that is all he is wanting out that girl to begin with. So no need to pursue any longer.

Usually....its a big NO...NO...for a girl to have sex on the first date. and It doesn't say alot for the girl and her morals) and the guy...( if he is a decent guy) can loose respect for her, think well and hard about sleeping on the first date....its not worth it

A guy losses respect for a young lady if she has sex with him on the first date, he figures if she's this easy why bother calling her for a second date.

Now days there is what is called a hook up...that does not mean much anymore......Women are not waiting on men anymore...they are even buying their own houses.....who is waiting on men anymore....double standards.......... I don't think so........ ..not anymore
