When a guy says he would love you if he was single what does it mean?
i was dating a guy for a while we both were very physically attracted to one another and things broke up as i was upset about my job etc a little needy at the time...he always stares at me when we are out and the other day i apoligised to him and he said i was one of the most lovely people he had met and that initially he was intimidated by my job ( i have quite a high powered job and earn good money) he also said he thought i was gorgeous back then and still does, i said i was leaving and he kept on grabbing me and said he would love me...if he was single..When i chatted about one of my ex boyfriends he got jealous and said 'what about us?'. He has only just started to date someone else..i have always been infatuated with him and vice versa..what should i do should i ask him for a drink as friends, i think he could of beena potential one

If he was single?!!! He sounds very presumptious! And he was intimidated by your job? And you were "chatting about you ex boyfriend" ? Sorry, questions not answers.
He doesn't sound like much of a man based on the fact that he was put off by your job, and that he is speaking to you like that when he has a girlfriend, and it sounds like there are power issues there as you provoked him by talking about your ex, and him saying "what about us". Also it sounds very much based on physical attraction rather than anything more substantial.
I would say it means that he is playing games, I think he really fancies you but at the end of the day he had a chance with you and blew it, and now he has another girlfrend so he doesn't sound like the most reliable person you could ever meet. Don't be his sap, he probably revels in it.

That means that he is probbaly dating someone and if he was single he would ask you out.
