My fiancee gave me an engagement ring approx. a year ago but I never offically set a wedding date. I admit, I became scared about the whole marriage thing because I had been married before and went through hell with my ex. I was just plain scared to death. During the course of that year of being engaged; me and my fiance didn't seem like we were getting closer; it seemed like we were pulling apart. Now that I have set a date, it seems like he loves me to death and treats me better than he ever has. Does finally setting a wedding date have anything to do with his new profound love for me? Did he not think I wanted to marry him?

My girlfriend has a habit of keeping old memorabilia or photos from ex-boyfriends. She doesn't keep them out in the open, but she has them stashed all over the place. She also has been divorced for over 10 years and still has her wedding dress and her wedding ring. She tells me that it shouldn't matter because those things are in the past. I agree with that, but I also think she should listen to her own advice and get rid of some of this stuff. Advice?

I've been on and off with my daughters father for 6 years. My family says he will never make me happy. We are trying to work on some things, we do have some issues, but in the back of my mind that is all I can hear, "he will never make you happy?" It is scary both ways. What should I do?

He told me many times that he loves me but often neglects me whenever i call him.he responds to calls by saying that he will call me later,but calls after 15 days or 1 month.once i confronted him on this issue,he got very defensive and blamed me for not understanding that he was focused on his job.he told me that he has goals and is fast moving but is also scared of losing his loved ones because of his workaholism.whenever he called,he prefered to talk about females in his office, about thier understanding nature.he hangs out with them during weekends.he hangs out with them despite of having deadlines,but doesnt have time to talk with me.i need just one answer,does this guy love me or not?

We went out for 10 months, she had a nervous brakdown one night n her parents grounded her for the next three days after that, so i didn't get to see her. <---thats a fact (she didn't make it up) and she thinks her life is falling apart. she said she needs time alone and with friends and stuff. so we went on a break, but i got her to call me every night, a few days later she calls n says she can't do this. she say's shes not in love with me anymore but i'm the perfect guy for her. (whats that????) she says she we are moving to fast and she wants us both to date other people to see if we really love each other as much as we think. I didn't have too many girlfriends before her, and she thinks that i don't really love her and i just think i do because i haven't tryed out enough people to know. so she wants me to see other people for a while to, so i gotta do this to prove to her that i only want her n no other gilrs match up. Is she just making excuses, or does she really believe this?

I hav known this guy (guy 1) for abt a year now. When i 1st met him I didnt like him but we gt talking, started flirting + gradually became friends,spending after school + the weekends together. 6 mths ago I started to like him, but didnt act on it. We got closer as time went on and my feelings got stronger, I cnt help caring about him.There is a lot of tension in the air betwn us,every1 says he likes me and thinks were together but were not. We spend the evenings in his bed watching movies, i wear his clothes. He is okay abt getting naked in front of me. He has a girlf who he has been with for 3 years now and he loves. Here's my quandry: I'm going to a concert with a female friend (whom I would date in a heart beat if given the opportunity) as a school assignment for a music appreciation class. The concert begins at 7:30 and I want to ask her if she'd like to get something to eat b4hand. This shouldnt be that hard but I get REALLY nervous just thinking about asking her. How do I kick these nerves?

And...I didnt want to take her to nice sit-down restaurant b/c that might make it a little too date-like, but I didnt want to take her to a fast food chain b/c that seems a little too greasy. I was thinking pizza hut. Is this a good place to take a girl on a date that isnt really supposed to be a date?

Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Thanx!

What should I do? I really find it hard to believe she hasn't noticed it yet. I'm pretty sure the damn thing winked at me the other day. I know she has put me through a lot, with the shooting, and the cheating. I hate it when she cheats at UNO. Effin enrages me. I have always dated men a few years older than me like the oldest has be 7 years but this situation has a bigger gap. I have grown a little interested in a man that is about 14 years older than I, however I'm a little skeptical about the older man younger woman thing. I'm in my late 20's and he is in his early 40's. i have borderline personality disorder and i am currently being treated for it. however, it can take over sometimes i can lash out at people, especially when drunk. (i know i should not drink). i have also recently starting seeing a guy. he is lovely and so patient. he has supported me a great deal recently. however at the weekend we went to a party so he could meet my friends but i drank too much and flipped. i started behaving like a total cow to this guy. he knows that it is related to my illness but it freaked him out and now he wants some space. i am so annoyed with myself. i have tried to apologise but he said he needs some time to decide whether he can cope with my illness or not. have i totally blown it now? i would be really sad if he finished what is actually a really good thing.
