I have always dated men a few years older than me like the oldest has be 7 years but this situation has a bigger gap. I have grown a little interested in a man that is about 14 years older than I, however I'm a little skeptical about the older man younger woman thing. I'm in my late 20's and he is in his early 40's. Is this normal?

IT WAS FOR ME. MY FIRST EXPERIENCE WAS WHEN I WAS 18 AND HE WAS 43. YUMMY!!! AND I MET THE LOVE OF MY LIFE WHEN I WAS 24 AND HE WAS 44. I SAY GO FOR IT.

MY ATTRACTION WAS IN THE FACT THAT AN OLDER MAN KNEW EXACTLY WHAT HE WANTED OUT OF LIFE, WAS WORKING TO ACHIEVE THAT GOAL, AND I DIDN'T HAVE TO FINISH "RAISING" HIM. I FOUND THEM TO BE MUCH MORE SELF-CONFIDENT, SETTLED, AND MATURE THAN THE YOUNGER MAN. AND THE SEX WASN'T BAD EITHER---THEY WERE MUCH MORE INCLINED IN MAKING SURE THAT I WAS SATISFIED.....THEY WEREN'T SELFISH LIKE YOUNG FELLAS WERE.

I think at your age that it is your decision who you see. My husband is 32 and I am 23. Our relationship has been going strong for 7 almost 8 years and is wonderful. I do not think there is anything abnormal about this whatsoever. When I am 29 my husband will be 39 almost 40. I think that society puts such a big thing on age and it really shouldn't be that big of a deal. Follow what you think is best for you and don't let anyone tell you any different.

I've dated women 15 years older and 15 years younger than me. Had good fun and good loving with all of them. At some point, age becomes irrelevant and you learn to enjoy the person for who they are. If you get along well and it feels good, do it!

What is normal? You are both adults and if you are attracted to eachother, there shouldn't be a problem. Besides, a lot of older men know how to really take care of a woman.

How can dating an older man be 'uplifting'? And uplifting by whom? You seem to be trying out to be 'trophy wife' of the year--good for you. If you want a sugar daddy, then an older man is the way to go girlfriend. You don't seem skeptical to me....you seem to like it. If you want to be petted, treated like a child that needs to be cared for, and never take responsibility for your own life I guess a guy closer to your parent's age than your own may be the ticket. Do you actually feel 'uplifted' ?!!! Is that the opposite of being treated like an equal?

Are you kidding? Hot guys in their 40's are chick magnets. They have the money, the house, the cars and they know exactly how to treat and make love to a woman. Now I'm not talking about middle aged frumpy guys with beer bellies and no ***. I'm talking about hot 40something studs like me.

If you are both cool with it then have fun. Enjoy each other. I love an older man. It's normal.

Give it a try. Dont let age prevent a relationship.
