Singles & Dating - 31 October 2006

I'm a high school senior and I like this girl which until recently was outta limits. I've already decided that I'm gonna make a move and it's going to involve what else but LOVE POETRY?!! so nobody's going to dissuade me (convince me not to) do this. I just wanna know what a bunch of random strangers think about this wonderful pearl I just pulled out of my... hat.

It’s hard to say in words
what I’m feeling to this day.
I try to open my mouth
but suddenly become afraid.
I know there is no future,
no purpose for this note.
This rose will go to waste,
I live with only hope.
Whether it lives or it dies,
I will walk out okay.

This rose grew from my heart,
at first a heavy burden.
I refused to believe,
I used to deny,
but now I can no longer hide this deep secret.

I have left the safety of my shell,
which did well to me.
Now I’m taking a chance.
Will I fall or will I fly?
It sounds improbable,
almost too obvious.
How can I fly when I have no wings?
But it’s a simple question,
with a simple answer.
was I tricked by my heart?
will I drown in the truth?
or will I take sudden flight,
in the skies, the deep blue?
if I am the fish,
you the ocean.
if I am the star,
you are the heavens.
if I were to tell you, who would believe
that Old Cupid’s arrow
has made a slave out of me?

There's a guy at school that I really wanted to go to this school dance with,..................but I found out he's takin another girl 2day. As soon as I heard my heart sunk so low!!! I didn't know I could feel so down!!! Now I don't even want to go. Everyone's got a date except for me!!! And there's no way I'mma step up in there all lonely!!! Should i still go or is it just a waist of time?

about 4 months ago i was seeing this guy & everything was good i mean it wasnt perfect, but wat couple is? basically i am the 1 who ended it w/ him because 1 of his very close friends said he cheated on me w/ a girl who is completly opp of me & of course he denied it, but he had lyed about stupid lil things b4 & i trusted his best friend over him, something i no i shouldnt have done, but i didnt want 2 be the one 2 look like a complete idiot if he really did.. well i saw him at a fair about a month ago & we strted talking again that was until my comp was down 4 awhile.. well i got my comp back & he msged me & i found out the only reason he didnt call me or anything was because his friend told him that i liked him & that i no longer was interested in my him. he called me on sat & said how he wanted 2 c me & hang out.basically i feel we would still be 2gether if his friend wouldnt have lied 2 me & said he cheated on me & i still do have feeling 4 him.should i hang out w/ him & c wat hap

I have had this friend since I was in the 5th grade, I am now 28 and he moved away and I went out to live with him for about 6 months and heard some crazy things about him from his friends out there. First of all...girls that he dated were absolutely beautiful and he is VERY good looking, and they broke up with him for not sleeping with them. Mind you...he is a bar tender at a hot club! Now... he gets OVER excited when his "friend" stops by to see him, let's just call his friend "Jon". And by over excited, I mean he literally jumped over my head while sitting on a couch to get to the door to see if his "friend" drove by, and doesnt even think twice about sleeping with any girl he has dated. And this being confirmed by ALL his guy friends and ex-girlfriends since he moved there! I don't know...I JUST NEED TO KNOW! He is such a close friend of mine and he won't even talk about it. Does anyone have an opinion?

I need other ppl's opinions cuz family and friends all say the same thing because they don't like my b/f. He is 28 and I am 19. He moved in with me after the first date because I needed a room mate and he was looking to move outta his mom's again. I thought he'd help with bills but he doesn't. He doesn't pay rent, pud, cable, food, and when we go on dates I pay, except once because I forgot my wallet. I even paid on my birthday. The only bill he has is a 150 truck payment and a 450 child support. Yes I make .50 more an hour then him and I work more hours but a little help would be nice. I even took a second job so we could start looking for a house. I don't know where his money goes except into beater up trucks!! I am lucky to go out with him one night a week when he's not busy. I do love him and he says he loves me and we talk about our future but I want someone to support me. He says he is looking for a new job but he's said that 5 months ago. Is he just a sponge or will it change??

Suppose to have gone away with my other half last weekend, he rang me friday to say that he had left the phone at home and he would call me later to discuss where we should go. He never rang we are now on Tuesday and I still have not heard nothing from him and the phone that I have to contact him on is switched off. I know he has a work phone but I dont know the number too that. I don't know what to think, he still has alot of dealings with his ex girlfirend as they are selling there house they once lived in. OK, here we go... ME and this guy went out in like 7th grade (hes a year ahead of me in school) and we broke up cuz of the whole him e going to high school thing. and we've liked each other on and off. well before homecoming last year i asked him to go w/ me and he said no and I'm like OK, no harm done. them this year he asked me and i said no cuz i was going w/ one of my friends cuz he didn't ask me til like two weeks before. well any who, i still like him alot and i told himand he trunt it around and asumed that i asked him out (which i didn't) and said that the answer would most likely be yes, and that he would call me on saturday and let me know for sure. well he never did. and he hasn't said any think to me since.

I guess my question is do i have a right to be mad, and should i be?
