about 4 months ago i was seeing this guy & everything was good i mean it wasnt perfect, but wat couple is? basically i am the 1 who ended it w/ him because 1 of his very close friends said he cheated on me w/ a girl who is completly opp of me & of course he denied it, but he had lyed about stupid lil things b4 & i trusted his best friend over him, something i no i shouldnt have done, but i didnt want 2 be the one 2 look like a complete idiot if he really did.. well i saw him at a fair about a month ago & we strted talking again that was until my comp was down 4 awhile.. well i got my comp back & he msged me & i found out the only reason he didnt call me or anything was because his friend told him that i liked him & that i no longer was interested in my him. he called me on sat & said how he wanted 2 c me & hang out.basically i feel we would still be 2gether if his friend wouldnt have lied 2 me & said he cheated on me & i still do have feeling 4 him.should i hang out w/ him & c wat hap

It sounds like his friend is a little 2 faced. I know you said that you did not want to look like an idiot if he really did cheat on you, but if you really care about a person you would try to find out for yourself or at least talk to him about it before you just break up with him. Are you sure there are not any deeper trust issues you have with him. If there is, then getting back together wont even be worth if, it wont work if you cant trust him. If not then why not see what happens? But I am surprised that both of you are willing to get back together knowing that you both took advice from somebody outside of the relationship without communicating with each other first.

I think you should hang out with him to see where it goes. After all, his friend lied to you about the cheating didn't he? So if this friend didn't say the things he said, you would probably still be together. You need to rebuild the trust between you two if you want to have a lasting relationship.

How do you know the friend was lying? A big hint would be friction between them or if the friend made moves on you however I would believe my partner over their friends.
It would be different if my own friend told me.

You never believe the friends. They just want a piece of booty! Call him up and tell him what his friend did to him. You should give him another chance since you were the one who was wrong.
