I have this older guy friend of mine. We have been friends for about 8 years now. And up until a little over a month ago, that's all it's been. We have gotten really close and have seen eachother more often. He's 25+ years older than me. We are both adults. I guess what I am looking for is permission to see him?? Does society accept that these days?? is it wrong (morally, ethically) for a younger girl to be with a much older man?? Does age really matter? Thanks

After viewing this the whole concept of marriage seems like a broken institution. Should we just outlaw marriage altogether...I mean it seems today a very large majority is just concerned with premarital sex...why just not live together and commit sin openly? Why destroy the sacred concept of marriage with lust?

My BF of 4 years is a touchy kind of guy so he thinks it's ok to touch people (like waitresses). He is genuinely nice and people like him, male and female.
We've had an argument before about this before, and another last night. He put his hand on a waitress's shoulder to order something when we were at the bar together. It was tame, not creepy or anything, but still.
The waitress is totally friendly with bot of us (I like her, she is a sweetie, remembers my name, etc) and we've gone to the place like 10 times over a year, but she is not a friend, etc.
Anyway, I gave my boyfriend a hard time over this (over-reacting?). I am not jealous or questioning his motives, just think it's innapropriate.

PS. He is always affectionate to me in public and the waitress is not very pretty... if it matters ;)
Oh yeah - he has a history of cheating/touching other females *in front fo me as well as behind my back*.
Thoughts?

I guess what I'm getting at is... why is it that the very people who single people out, isolate them, and hurt them to the point that they simply close down, feel that they can then blame the person for being antisocial? Thats kind of like blaming a rape victim for being raped.
I am also asking for the people who judge the antisocial people as being untrust worthy... wake the hell up!!! Not everyone becomes antisocial for the same reason but a good portion do. If for only one moment, try, just try to understand why someone who is quiet and/or antisocial, try to understand why, show a little compassion and let them know their not alone. Try seeing the world through their eyes and maybe you'll have a better understanding. You may infact learn something new about them.

One time I was talking to this guy and he said I was intimidating b/c I was so smart. I have heard that from other people too. I have alot of guy friends but those who are not my " friends" are intimidated by me. I really dont try to be intimidating, I just appear that way to some people. Are there any ways could seem less in imidating?

I met in guy in person over the weekend we had been talking on the phone for a month. (met online first). We spend all weekend together in his town and really liked each other. but his not calling. could it be that he is not interested anymore. or maybe he is too busy at work? (he had told me he had a deadline to meet today monday) But I'm afraid he doesn't want to call me. I sent a text earlier today and he didn't reply. should I give him more time, maybe he calls tonight? am I getting obsessed?

There's this guy I find really hot. We're good friends but I feel more for him than that. How do I go about it? I don't want to appear a s**t or ruin our friendship. Do you think there's a chance he already knows I'm attracted to him? I haven't really done anything too obvious, except wanting to be around him a lot more.

I have been antisocial for sense I was eight years old, I am no 21 and it has been only recently that I've finally started to break out of my old life style.
I wasn't antisocial because I chose to be, that happend because of my families way of living. I grew up an Army brat, sense I was born (I appologize in advance for any misspellings) into it. As an unfortunate consequence, I moved around my whole life. So I grew up not trying to fit in with everyone because I was always rejected, singled out, no one regardless of how hard I tried would give me a chance.
It is so frustrating to have so many people judge us because we have not been social. That doesnt happen on its own, being alienated does not exactly help.
Then there are those of you who claim that its the antisocial ones who take advantage of people. No, thats just a way of pointing blame at someone other then the one(s) responsible.
I only ask that you don't judge us all harshly, try seeing the world through our eyes.

We went out the other nite after a football game to a local bar. I felt like we were in a meat market. I dont want to sound crude, but he has a very good job and so do I. We are in a very small community and these women were in short acting desperate for his attention. Some guy came behind me and rubbed my rear end with his hand which was not needed. I dont want to start getting into this bar scene. Am I being a prude? Sometimes I think because of our financial situation, people want to get a little too chummy and hook onto the money. He did not respond in any way to the advances nor did I, but he thought it was fun. I was uncomfortable.
