I met in guy in person over the weekend we had been talking on the phone for a month. (met online first). We spend all weekend together in his town and really liked each other. but his not calling. could it be that he is not interested anymore. or maybe he is too busy at work? (he had told me he had a deadline to meet today monday) But I'm afraid he doesn't want to call me. I sent a text earlier today and he didn't reply. should I give him more time, maybe he calls tonight? am I getting obsessed?

How long is not calling? A few hrs? 1 day? 5 days?
You said weekend, so I am guessing you saw him yesterday and now you are freaking out bc you don't know where it stands (I think any gal can relate to that feeling). Hang in there and don't stress yet.
You texted him- giving him the opportunity to answer, now you have to let it go for now. Try not to think about it, and DONT CALL! Give him a day or 2 to come around- since he might be really busy and you calling him too much when you know he's busy might annoy him. It is very possible work is stressing him out and he might be busy for a day or 2. Anymore then 2 is a bad sign though.
If a few days go by and you don't hear anything, then call- don't text - and leave a VM. Then you know he got it and he is again given the opportunity to call. If still nothing, then let it go completely and move on.

Wait it out for at least 2 days. If he doesn't call or text you by then, give up and move on.

Yes you are appearing anxious and somewhat obsessive. I would let him be the one who makes the next contact, if you persist you may scare him away. Slow down, if he felt the same attraction that you did, he will be calling soon.

I say wait for him to call you! If he doesn't call, he's not interested and you can look at it like he wasn't worth your time in the first place. There are so many fish in the sea!!!
