I guess what I'm getting at is... why is it that the very people who single people out, isolate them, and hurt them to the point that they simply close down, feel that they can then blame the person for being antisocial? Thats kind of like blaming a rape victim for being raped.
I am also asking for the people who judge the antisocial people as being untrust worthy... wake the hell up!!! Not everyone becomes antisocial for the same reason but a good portion do. If for only one moment, try, just try to understand why someone who is quiet and/or antisocial, try to understand why, show a little compassion and let them know their not alone. Try seeing the world through their eyes and maybe you'll have a better understanding. You may infact learn something new about them.

While I can understand your point of view, I must agree that to compare blaming a person for being antisocial is the same as blaming a rape victim for being raped goes outside the line. In no way is it even similar. Rape is about violence and power. Social stereotypes are simply that - you can decide whether to accept them or not.

Is it possible you're actually more introverted rather than antisocial? Are you disruptive, rebellious, harmful, inconsiderate, selfish, disagreeable? Just a thought.

That is true about many things. I personally enjoy my own company and prefer it to others. I would much rather sit at home and read a book than go to a bar or club. I think it is because I feel like I am an alien around other people. I don't understand them and they don't understand me. It is easier to stay at home rather than try to explain myself to someone and then deal with the look of disgust and misunderstanding in that stranger's eyes.

Hey, I like being by myself but I don't like being alone..I guess I am just better off with God, a close friend, a truely great guy, my family, and myself. My health and my happiness. It's enough for me. I don't need a million friends and party everyday to be happy.
