Singles & Dating - 16 August 2006

I have been with my bf for 6 years...I told him I want to get married and he says he isn't ready and needs at least another 3-5 years to think about the idea of getting married. I told him I need to know if we will ever get married or not....and he says I am sure we will end up stuck together anyways...How can I get him to see marriage isn't a bad thing? Why does he think this way about marriage? Do all guys think like this? How do I stop arguing about wanting to know what the future of this relationship is?

It's possible I just have confidence issues, but I always seem to run into the same thing. I develop an interest in a girl, work up the guts to ask her out and alot of times I face the "I think of you as a big brother" response. This especially seems to be the case when I develop such feelings for a girl I've known for quite some time. I'm open for any suggestions which might help me change my self-image or whatever is needed to fix the problem.

I like this guy and I need to tell him I like him... I am just not sure what the best way to do that is. Should I let him know flat out or kind of hint him? there is a girl i like from school, i find her attractive, and i would like to date her, but she has said no, and said she only sees us as just friends, and she says she likes someone else as well, and she also says that shes waiting for them to ask her out but i want her to know i exist, and let her know how much she means to me, in a way that wont make me seem weird,but i just want her to be happy. that i just got over a long time relationship break up
and i am not ready to go into another relationship
because i am still very hurt/upset
because he cheated.
he just proved to me after cheating on me once that he wan't like that.
then about 6 months later he did it again. i just don't know what to do about the breakup and this new guy.
who later i might want to date.

This guy at work said, "gracias mi espocha or especha" or something..what does espocha/especha mean?? Does anyone know a word close to it?? thanks for any help and God bless!

I know esposa means wife but he didn't say that, he said especha..or something that sounded like that..with the CH in it. LOL :)

I really like one of my best friends that is a guy and he told one of my other friends that it would be weird if he went out with me. He also said that I'm not hot, but I know he cares about me a lot because we're really close. I think he might be lying about the hot part because he rated me a 6.5. Is that high? Does anyone have a prescription for how often they call a girl to go out or to chat? We have gone out to a great date where we almost had sex. I have gone out with her twice. I call this girl I just met once a week, but I want to call her more. She doesn't like talking on the phone and she said that. I usually can write her an email and she writes back right away. She very honestly told me every specific thing that she has coming up that she is so busy and travelling. Part of me thinks she is still interested because she keeps replying to my emails but another part tells me that she is not interested because she doesn't take my calls or return my calls. When I ask her out on email she says that sound very nice...I would like to do that another time maybe...Why is she this way? How often calling her is too much? How can I be more smooth and have a better game plan?
