I don't know to which country you belong, but in India parents always disagree about love marriage. If you are above 18 you have a right to get married in court but that is not the issue, you should be sure you both are really in love and will stick together for life.Of course you should be prepared to face the wrath of parents and the society, depending on the society to which you belong.

Depends on your age, if you're 17 and in love, you better get ready to be humble and write to each other for awhile. If you're 27 or 28 and can pay all your bills with no problem, move out of your parents house. Remember life has tests and tribulations all through it. Writing to each other can be the first test of your love.. if it lasts for a long time then the love is true

You didn't state why they disagree. Parents often have good reasons for the things we do. Try asking them. You may come to agree with them.

If love marriage means marrying someone of your own choice, then the only way is to discuss more about your choice with your parents. Try talking to them, tell them that you want to understand why they are opposing your choice. It is very normal to have a choice that is different from that of your parents when you grow up. If your parents are uncomfortable with that, then they do not see you as a mature individual. Think whether you ahve given them any reason to see you in that way. Are you responsible for example?

Usually, parents are concerned about the secure future of their children, see if your chosen one and you can have a secure economic future together. Tell your parents about that.

If the two families do not get well, see if you can live away from them after marriage for a while.

In general, communicate with your parents. All marriages are supposed be based on love, ask why love marriage is so bad.

You should discuss it with your parents. Keep an open mind. You are in love and love can be blinding. Don't try to defend your b/f or g/f. Just listen to their reasons and tell them you will take it under advisement. Then do just that. Sometimes we can't see the forest for the trees!

It's not what your parents want, is what you want. If you feel that true love lies within your heart, you should never past that oppurtunity up. You may never find a mate like the one you have now.
