I really like one of my best friends that is a guy and he told one of my other friends that it would be weird if he went out with me. He also said that I'm not hot, but I know he cares about me a lot because we're really close. I think he might be lying about the hot part because he rated me a 6.5. Is that high? Do you think I should give up on him and move on before I get hurt? What should I do????

Caring about you as a friend is different of course. Most guys use a scale of 1-10, so 6.5 is not good. I would say move on and just enjoy the friendship that you have with him. After all, good friends are hard to find as well.

Theres other ways you can make a guy like you even if he doesnt think your hot. Think, be creative your a girl, Its in your power to make that man want you. A 6.5 is low

6.5 on a 10 point scale is slightly above average. He may not want to date you because he thinks of you as friends and in this day and age girlfriend means sex partner, or so it seems. Why don't you try talking to him ?

Just move on, don't let yourself think about him in that way for now. If in a few months or something he tells you he likes you, you can always re-evaluate your feelings to see if you still like him that way, but if you hang around you might end up humiliated+regret it.

if he only rated you a 6.5 thats just above average i would move on if i was you having male friends are great just dont fall them
