The guy that I like is having a house warming get together. I want to get him a NICE gift. I can't decide whether to get him towels or cookware (both of which he needs and asked for). Which would make a better gift? I want it to be useful AND personal.

My girlfriend of 2 yrs is all off a sudden finding mistakes at watever i do.She said a lot of stuff that hurt me.When i ask her if i should wait till she regains normality...she says its up to me .She cant assure me that she will endup with me even if i decided to wait.Her reasoning is"no matter how much u love a person,its not necessary that u will/should endup with that person"I was really taken back when she said this.Is she indirectly trying to convey something?Should i hang on or just let her go??

why does a guy who is a good friend not a good lover. and even if a good lover they leave girls and dont even think of marring the same girl? why do guys always feel like roaming with a girl and hate the same girl?

Is controlling children ...abuse ?

While attending a "workshop presentation" on child abuse a corruption of sorts was noticed.

First the model used was that of 'cult-feminists' a model that attacked men, ie child abuse = men who abuse, women and children victims. You will note the polarizing nature of this half-truth.

At the workshop the 'social worker' got up and stated that child abuse begins with a parent trying to 'control' the child.

What do you think ? Is "controlling' a child, child abuse ?

Well. I dont think my husband is cheating on me now, he's always tired physically... falls asleep on the couch... he used to want to have sex with me all the time, but I always said no... which I regret, that caused his cheating ,,, anyway,,, He is now trying to work out this marriage , he quit drinking which is huge ... I don't know why he doesnt wanna have sex anymore.......... I look better than before, I take a shower 2~3 times a day... always wear pretty clothes,, I am not ugly or fat... I'm such a sweet girl ... he just turned 32 and I'm 27.. married for 3 years now... do you guys think he's just getting old? I feel bad for making him do me... I'm so confused...

Hey well first off I'm not gay, bi or curious. I don't know how the hell it happened, but it did. We were celebrating the engagement, and were drinking alot. So the next morning I woke up, and my fiance's dad was next to me naked, and I was naked. I know what you're probably thinking. How do I know anything happened. Trust me I know. I don't remember everything that happened, but I remember some. I think somehow I got so drunk that I mistook her dad for her. I don't know what was up with him, but he was really drunk to. So anyway when I woke up, he was still asleep. I just got dressed, and left. I went home right away, and took a long cold shower. I can't believe what happened. I don't know what the hell I should do. I don't believe in keeping secrets from the people you love. I just don't know how or if I should tell her about this situation. I also don't know how to face her dad. I'm hoping that maybe he'll be so drunk that he wont even remember. Someone please help

I'm mainly talking about people who are well meaning but who constantly either give unsolicited advice or continue asking questions beyond my comfort level.

I'm a very private person, and I'm of the strong belief that all of us have a right to a certain level of privacy.

Also, I'm the type of person who prefers to take my time in making decisions, especially life-altering ones and many do get impatient about that.

So how do I tell people such as inlaws (who are very kind and sweet in other ways) to back off or mind their own business, without alienating them and possibly affecting my marriage, as inlaws as a general rule tend to be unforgiving, and I want so much to be able to prevent any incidents they may hold against me for the rest of eternity?
