I'm surrounded by people in my life who claim to be happy but deep down inside feel depressed and lost. I wish I had some sort of role model of "happiness" to give me an idea how to truely attain it.
Are you truely happy in your life? - the kind of happiness that is clearly not materialism and what society expects you to have to be happy. ...ie. lots of money, a house, spouse, baby. etc. If so how did you find it? Also how do you maintain it?

What is the best way to tell my parent's that I'm not going to be living with them anymore??? It's not that I don't love them because I do...I just want to move on to a new page in my life. I really could care less to hear from those who will say... marriage is forever, or no you can only love one person ever. when he is drinking he likes to call them and when i ask him who he was talking to he gives me an anwer and when i ask the next morning, he gives me another. and one of the girls likes to call my house and when i answer she does not answer, only stays there for a little while and then she hengs the phone. he says he loves and i don't know what to do. sometimes, i want to leave but for some reason or the other i can't. what do u recommend me?

I know what people are going to say..... I have said it. But do you think that you can still make a past relationship still work? To give some background on the question.....I am getting divoriced and I am not rushing into another relationship. What I am trying to do is to figure out if it would be a good idea to start talking to an ex again while I go through this. I am only 21 and I am in the Army. My wife cheated on me while I was/am deployed to Iraq. Just trying to get some other opinions....thanks for your advice.

I just don't understand. I know that he does but he will only tell me when he is getting off the phone with me and it sounds so rehearsed. I have even asked him why it was so hard for him but he just starts to blush, smile and stutter. I know he loves me because of the way he treats me, the way he looks into my eyes and the things he does for me but I just need to hear it every now and then. My question is.....should I just accept that he is uncomfortable with tell me that he loves me or should this be a big deal? I tell him all of the time....I am comfortable with our relationship and my feelings for him. Shouldn't it be mutual? HELP!!!

Lately I have found myself in a rut. I allow situations to get the best of me. I am never truly happy. Deep down inside there is still a sadness. Everytime I start to be happy, something comes and takes it away. I want to be able to enjoy life, let go, and live...but I can be so pessimistic at times. I pray everyday and read my bible and now I am at wits end what to do. Everyone thinks I have the perfect life...and in some ways I do... but I can't seem to stop this sadness deep down and I already know that I don't need medical attention.
