When my girlfriend and I have a disagreement, this often results in an argument. I understand that conflict is a normal part of a relationship, and that it is important for both parties to be willing to deal with this by compromising. I think my girlfriend finds this very difficult to do - it often feels to be 'her way or no way' - and if I suggest a compromise she accuses me of not thinking of her and always thinking of myself/other people.

How can I encourage a more peaceful & understanding relationship?

Well there's this one girl and she really seems to like being around me and talking with me. We would have friendly competitions and stuff like that. Also she is concerned alot about my well being and what i think and shows interest in the things i do. And at school she has me walk with her down the halls whenever possible. She also kind of flirts and has a nickname for me.

When I am strong and tell her No! I turn into a hippocrit because sometimes I get depressed and want to go use... There is no balance as soon as one of us uses. Useing becomes our main pursuit instead of working toward our life goals together. I really want to succeed and have a homw and nice cars and food and toys and all that.... but the slow road to attaining that stability and comfort is so freaking monotinus and unfullfilling I feel disrespected by (existance) that all I am supposed to do with this body and mind is preform the same job functions day in and day out for the next 20-30 years of my life!!! I guess the monotony is better then the losses you suffer as a result of drug use. but the drug use losses don't hurt like the monotony because you are constantly sedated or distracted in a pursuite of your next dose of instant gratification and reaction. I'm having a hard time dealing with reality is this all life really is??? sustinance and self-gratification?

i love a boy and he too loves me very deeply he wants to marry me but after he and i finish my studies .....but i am afraid coz i know my parents are never gaing to allow me for love marragie .....but i cant live him nor my parents....how can i explain them....many a times i feel like making a sucide ....many i times i start crying nytiime without a reason.....i hurt myself with a blade a knife or a broken mirror.....i m too much sad for all this and cant help myself plsssssssssssss help.......me....

i've been dating a guy for 5 mnths. he's with this woman for 6 yrs. 4 yrs ago, she was pregnant n it wasn't his kid! he stayed w/ her bc the kid had no father. back 2 the story, he told me that he's going 2 leave her bc he's in love with me. i respected him when he told me he can't walk away from the house right now b/c he wanted to make sure the child was ok before he left. last mnth he freely told her that he cheated on her, something that never happened before. (he's not a cheater or lier, couldn't live like that). he told her that he's in love with me, still seeing me. he did bc she called me cursing. Although the cheating, she still wants 2 be w/ him. they don't even sleep 2gethr. he's on the phone w/ me evry night in his own sheets on his own bed! It's been 5 mnths, i see him every day, deep in love with him, husband material but i'm afraid that i might just get my heart broken. i'm such a good hearted person, never wishing any harm 2 any1, not even his girl. What do you think?

Ok , say you just finished having sex with your ex--or , the mother of your kids if that helps . Anyways , she was all gloating about how Great it was. And you say to her , you thought that that was good ? ( like you thought that it wasn't.) Well , if you were now with the woman , that you left her 4.... And you were still sleeping with your babies momma---> would you really keep having sex with her, if you thought that it wasn't any good ? Or , would you just tell her that---> so that she would feel insecure about her sexuallity.... ie . so that she would'nt go out and find someone else to have sex with ?
And , if ur new girlfriend was really all of that , why would u still be having sex with ur ex 4 ?
Please be honest , i'm not tripping---> just trying to figure out why ?????

To make a long story short, my boyfriend of 2 yrs. had gotten into a fight and i had been at my dads for 2 days and i found out that him and my 2 sisters stayed up partying all night and there supposely happy married women. Well i was going to get them back and do it to my lil sister husband and now its been 8 month and can't see my life without him. we both came from bad relationships and were happy. Of course my family life is runt but it was when they would rather be with my boyfriend. He's been my brother in-law for 10 yrs. and never ever thought i would have feelings for him. If i give him up for a family that runt anyway, what if i'm giving up what i've been looking for all my life.

I have a major crush on a schoolmate. Tommy is part of the 'in-crowed' whereas i'm a misfit. I once knocked him over infront of his friends (Half intentional, he was making fun of me and my friend Leticias conversation) and he started laughing and smiling at me while sprawled on the ground. Later that day he was glaring at me for no reason! He knows about my crush and so does the whole school. He is a jerk around his friends but is sweet and will have small conversations with me when they are not. Once or twice he has bumped into me on purpose. I was once waiting in the office at school for a teacher meeting when he walked by. I smiled and he noticed. Smiling himself now, did this twice more. But then when a teacher is around he becomes a jerk again! Whats this mean???

25 yrs old indian gal, my father who comes fr a very cultured society who disagree on love. i found my guy 5 yrs ago...we were very much in love, he is from india who is working in my country...just 1 year ago due to immgration problem, he cant stay here, so wifout telling anybody i married him, so that he can be secure here. now my father knows abt my love live but does not know i am married...he is very angry and asking me to get out of the house. i love my father alot..i dont wish to leave him and also leave my guy...any suggestion? i want to live with my guy with his approval....how?
