Is it weird that instead of looking at my lady in short shorts and a tanktop, i find her cuter just the way she is in sweatpants and a sweatshirt?

I don't think it's weird at all. Yeah, it's true that most guys like girls to wear those "skimpy" types of clothing. But to find your lady cuter in sweatpants and a sweatshirt, you have got to be a real man who loves her just the way she is. You are completely awesome in my opinion. Hard to find a guy like you these days.

why would it be weird, if you can find your girl attractive with no make up and in sweatpants then you're a better person for it...my favorite time with my gf is just laying in bed in the morning and snuggling

no, its natural.. i find my crush a lot more "macho" and hot in V-neck long sleeves and slacks. its like like asking a person to feel a song. defferent in interpretation.
