I'm currently ranked #3 in my class, I have straight A's on my transcript so far and i'm a Junior in high school. I have run into some conflicts with my AP language teacher this semester and her grading method. I got straight A's in my AP language class last semester but now I have a really mean teacher that insists on criticizing the teaching methods of my former teachers. She has given me a D+ on my first progress report of the semester which has angered me considering I have always had straight A's. I refuse to admit that my in class essays deserve a D. She claims to have graded my essay lightly. This is ridiculous because a D- is not grading lightly. I'm sick of putting an honest effort into my work and her giving me terrible grades that she refuses to change. This lady spends most of the class period discussing her religious and political beliefs.
Now comes the question.....Should I stand up to her the next time she criticizes one of my former teachers and put my grades at risk?

I have a crush someone in my computer class and i think he knows that i like him but oi don't know what to do? My friends that i thaught always had my back turned on me they got me in so much trouble and one of my best friends too. My other best friend they got in trouble got really mad at them but when they asked us to e their friends again iwe said no because they got us in trouble and ALWAYS talk about people. We stayed strong and made new friends but my other friend they got in trouble went back to them and now they are taking advantage of her. I try to talk to her but she is always with them . What do i do?

My best friend has fallen out with me. There is no particuar reason, she says she wants space to do new things and doesn't want to spend time with me anymore. She says we must have absolutely no contact at all - not even an occasinal phonecall or email.

I am very upset as we have been best friends for seven years. We have had arguments at times and had a volatile friendship but I never thought it would come to this.

Even though she has a bullying character and was often mean and hurtful to me I still miss her.

I think she is very unhappy with her life and blames me for it.

Any advice?

My sister in 2nd grade and she has 2 invitations. Tommi &Briana's Party says "NOON"

But Emilie's party is "2:OO pm-4:00 pm"

She likes them both! Tommi and Brianas Party is at their house, and Emilie's party is at the Paint Your own Clay place. Those are like 10 minutes apart.

well my friend did something really embarrasing and i wont say because im not spreading rumors. someone who apparently saw him do this told people and they told more people and now its all around. I've found that people tend to walk over me emotionally. I am by no means a push over, I am a force to reckon with when I lash out. But generally, I"m sweet and mild mannered. Why is it that people will say and do just about anything to you when you're bending over backwards to keep things running smoothly all around you?

i have a friend that is consistently making the Worst decisions for herself... someone once advised her that she was sabatoging herself, or purposely trying to fail, which at the time i didn't understand, but as time went on i can see why he said that.

one of her problems is that she is stuck on an Off and On again boyfriend who has pretty much ruined her life and changed her into a weak, unconfident, unhappy, dependent person. she continues to go back to him even though in the heat of the moment she always breaks up with him. i know it's Her life and i can't really do anything to help her, but i've been trying to convince her to make better decisions.. so i told her if she gets back w/ him again, she HAS to let him meet me and another friend so we can 'grill' him (she never wanted him to meet any family or friends befre).

is that a bad idea? or even if it is or not, what would u suggest we talk about/ask him/act around him?

I have a friend that has a very stressful, demanding job. It seems that everytime he has a day off, and I try calling him to hang out or IMing him, he flips out and talks about he's too stressed out and not in the mood for whatever I happen to be talking about. Now, I'm all for supporting a friend even when times are rough, but I'll be damned if I'm going to be demonized every time he has a bad day. Do you think I should just end the friendship?

There's this girl I know who I cannot STAND. She seriously is the rudest (and fakest) person I have ever known, and there's no changing her. Since I have to be around her whenever I do something with my friends, how do I tolerate her and still have fun with my friends at the same time? (Ex: If I say something she either rolls her eyes at me or gives me a snide comment about what I just said, making me feel absolutely stupid)

My friend is really bratty, thinks people are sore losers, she 's bossy, and copy's off my homework and tests. She also thinks only of herself and nothing else. She always lies and says she has things that she really doesn't have and blames things on other people and talks about them behind their back. Another thing is she thinks she can do things that she really can't do just to brag and show it off. And she brings her new, cool sometimes one-of-a-kind items to school just to brag and show everyone what she has and what they don't have. She can't respect other peoples' properties and she steals things that she wants even though I may not let her have it. She thinks she is the queen of the world and that we all should bow down to her. She steals boyfriends and cheats on them or goes out with them for 1 day to a week then dumps them. When we play pretend games she always talks about sexual things and always makes herself look better. She is a spoiled,good-for-nothing,self-thinking brat.

My roommate is making dinner for my best friend and I and we know its going to be terrible. We are willing to try it but if it doesnt turn out good. What do we say to not hurt her feeling but still get out before we all get sick? haha
