Friends - March 2007

My friend, who I gradually am learning not to trust with my personal information because she does not know how to keep discrete information private. She has told people personal things that I have said to people I would have prefered not to know about it and it has created a big dramatic mess in my life. I am learning that although she is fun to be around, she just can't help but gossip and tell people other's personal secrets. Recently, she has befriended this person who is a little like me, trusting, maybe a little naive. He has begun to share secrets with hre and share intimate details. ONe of which, he specifically prefaced with, "do not tell anyone, especially [ME and another friend of hers]" and guess what, SHE TOLD ME. I am not going to blab around his secret, but i thought it was distasteful for her to tell me, WITH OR WITHOUT him having to preface it. The fact that he DID makes it worse. Should I tell him she told me? just to give him caution about what he shares w/ her?

If your best friend was really close friends with your ex-boyfriend, would it be hard for you to accept? (especially if you were NOT on good terms with the ex) And if she reached out to make friends with your ex-boyfriend's cyber "friend" that he had phone sex with (while you were dating), would that upset you enough to confront your best friend and break off the friendship?
P.S. - The best friend KNOWS how you feel about her closeness to these 2 people and that it bothers you.

I am a very friendly and kind-hearted person and I get along with everyone but I have a hard time making GOOD friends. I had a lot of friends before, but they were not true to me. I met this guy some 3 months back. We got along pretty well, met regulrly, talked on the phone regularly( most of the times he would call me up). We had regular SMS sessions. Everythig was so good. But now he doesn't seem to be interested to even talk to me. All of a sudden he has stopped calling me up. he doesn't reply to my messeges either. No more emails. Even when we occasionally run into each other he just says cold 'hi' and pushes off. I don't know why he is doing it but it really hurts. I don't wanna ask him straight away. Is there any other way of finding out what's going on in his head. Also i miss him a lot and i want im back.

Okay .. My 2 best friends have turned against me and ii don't know whyy!! It's so annoying!..Well them to have become propa' bum chumss!..If you know what ii mean! They just hang around together and have great laughs but they DON'T speak to me!:S!?!..Not even 1 flippin' word..like 'Are you alright!?' .. But when 1 of ma best friends is in ma art class we start talking really nicely but when the other 1 comes along she just takes her away from me.. And then when i'm instant messenging (the one i talk 2 in art class!) she says 'Why wern't you hanging around with us at lunch:S..its lyk wotttttttttt d hell!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! lolzzzzzz how am ii spposed to if u dnt evn say 1 wordd 2 mee!!..plus i aint done nowt wrongggg!

I live in downtown Orlando, FL and although there is a lot to do it is hard to actually meet poeple with the same interests. I am into skateboarding events because of my 16yr old son and I am a Wiccan. I am having a real problem latley with people around my work place talking bad about other people. These people are my friends and I really don't like what these people say. I snapped this morning and told them to "stop talking about people" but I don't think that was the rite way to handle that. Is there another way I can get my point across that I don't apprecite them talking about people like that and around me? I work in the office of a big plant and they are talking about others that I work with in a bad way, critisizing everything they do but always to me and not to them.

I am not being isolated by family but, I have a best friend who is married to my stb exes best friend. I no longer feel comfortable talking to her about what is going on. She tries to be there and calls to ask how I'm doing and if I want to talk and I want to talk I just cannot talk to her about this. I really want to maintain the friendship but, want to make some friends and meet new people.

OK me and my bestfriend argue too much but when we get back cool again everything is all good. I mean I can tell her anything and I love kicking it with her but we just argue or disagree to much. Recently we jus go into a argue that lead to me and her not talking for couple months **** we still not talkin. I mean I miss her alot and sometimes I wish she acted like when we where in middle school. Alright... It starts out like this. My girlfriend and cousin are best friends. My girlfriends mom hates my cousin so they cant talk anymore. Thats making both of them depressed. But on top of that, my girlfriends mom is threatning to take my girlfriend to a private school if she talks to my cousin. Can anyone help me think of a way to cheer them up?

My best friend has this boyfriend that fight all the time and always make up all the time. She always wants him to come over but her parents wont let them in the house alone together so she makes me come over with them. Usually i dont mind helping but they always make me go and watch for someone to get home. If i got to do that for three hours i rather go home. I tryed telling her that i dont like doing that but she is one to always whine and get her way(usually says,"i must be a bad person and no body likes me")which will make me feel bad. How do i let her know that i really dont want to do things like that against my will without losing my best friend? PLEASE HELP!!!!!

I just dont get it. She broke up with me because she felt that she wasn't ready for another relationship and that she has to focus with college and that I would be better off as a friend. I respected her decision

We have a class together but for the first 2 weeks she literally ignored me and tried to avoid me as much as possible.. I tried to ask whats wrong and got nothing but a cold attitude. Afterwards, I didnt push the issue any further and left her alone. Then out of nowhere she starts being friendly again and starts to talk to me again.

However, I feel like she doesn't respect me. Everytime we were in class she would always talk to our friend and leave me out of the conversation.. Even when we would do work together, she would only come to me when she has to

Recently she started being cold again and I got tired of it.. so i ignored her for that day. she asked me what was wrong and I confronted her about it and that I didnt care anymore. she got defensive and now we dont talk.

Because I will be ever grateful to that person -he said that I should search in friends reunited. I have been trying to find my friend in so many peoples search sites but they all operated in the USA. Finally I was delighted to find that friends reunited operated in the u.k. and due to which I searched for my high school and primary school in the u.k. under which was a list of students who had registered their names and the year in which they had graduated. To my complete disbelief I found my friend karen's name registered in the high school & her sister's name- Toni was in the primary school list. Toni had a detailed profile in which she had given details of her son's website,from which after several hours of searching I finally managed to leave an offline message for her on Myspace.com. The following evening I recieved a message from her that she was Karen's sister. I would like TO THANK THE PERSON withall my heart. We had lost touch since 1976.I HAVE WANTED TO FIND HER FOR 32 YEARS.

We've been friends for a month now (he's a guy, by the way)

He loves teasing girls a lot. He has teased every girl in class with lines like: "I Love you, please give me a smack" or "You're so beautiful" ...he even tried holding hands with them but when I tease him with one of those girls, he just says "no way...not a chance I would court that girl" with a freaked look.

I don't understand why he ain't teasing me like he does on the others(even when we first met)...(well, he DOES tease me but only mild ones like "Aw..poor girl" and "You slowpoke")

Another thing is that, when my classmates go: "Aw, she's (me) cute, ain't she?" infront of him, he doesn't react. He just smiles and started teasing one of them again.

His treatment to me, my classmates and his close friends differ...A LOT...

Am I an alien to him or what???

Another one is when we are told to write the name of the person we adore and hate the most, he only showed me the ones he hate

What is a good way to tell a girl you that you love her? I am head over heels to my girl. I want to tell her I love you but what I don't know how she feels about me. I guess I am going to wait until she says "I love you" to me then I will say it to her. Is that a good suggestion?
