No, because they never denied happiness to themselves on my account. At some point.....you have to live your life for...YOU!!!

to tell u the truth my parents have always looked out for me I have made some bad decisions where i thought i would be happy and that they dissapproved but never once have they said told u so they have been there 4 me when i needed it. its important to do something that will make u happy as u need to learn but i found my parents have been rite about a lot of things like a guy i moved in with at 19 and he broke my heart this was 7 months ago and i am still recovering they warned me but i did not listen so now I am going to listen to them a little more as remember they have done it all lived and prob been thru it all before so i think certain issues are best left up to u but itd nice to have parents who will help u tell u their experience and guide u hope that helps.

A lot depends on age and maturity. Really not enough facts for definite answer. My parents wanted me to continue with my education and I refused, biggest regret of my life that I didn't listen. Have got there in the end but it would have been sooooooo much easier to study at a young age in my own home with little responsibilites, no bills etc than the way I did it. If now they disapproved of my husband and I know how good he is then I wouldn't be oblidged to go their way. You see a lot depends on age and situation.

Your life is not lived to the full if you only live life to fulfill other's needs. You need to do things for yourself otherwise you will forever be worried to be independent darlin. You do things for yourself and you'll never regret a thing :) Keep your chin up and think more about what you want in your life more than other's.. I did.. I'm happier than i ever have been. Take care

No way. Not now. Like, when I was 15, & they said they knew better - they probably did. But now, 17 yrs later.....
